I saw Dr. Hewins after a ski accident. He operated on my broken leg and did an excellent job. My leg has heeled well and my follow ups with Dr. Hewins and his team were informative and very helpful. I was impressed with the whole operating team and the people that I worked with on my post surgical followup. I was very pleased with the all of my contacts with the hospital and medical staff and would highly recommend Dr. Hewins.

I had a accident, and Dr Edward did my surgery for my fractured tibia and malleolus, he was soft spoken and calm when he was explaining my procedure. I was nervous and afraid because it was my first surgery but I trusted him and the all staff in the OR that my operation will be successful. I am on my 3rd week post-op orif and so far my right leg was healing the wounds are clean. Thank you Dr and to the rest of the team

Recently broke my ankle and had surgery at Kentville Hosp. I found Dr. Hewins to be outstanding not only his surgical technique but his bedside manner. He was cordial, explained everything step by step and was truly caring about my fears and concerns. As a retired trauma/emerg nurse he is on my list for exceptional physicians. His staff at the Ortho Clinic at the hospital were also caring and knowledgeable, explaining everything clearly. I would recommend him as a surgeon and his fracture clinic team.
