I moved to Nanaimo in 1985,and was referred by a friend to Dr Wadson. I have been seeing him since then until his recent retirement. The best dentist I have ever had. So caring, gentle and knowledgeable. Never pushed to do treatments- explained why and what, and left for you to decide. His hygienist, staff and Vi, were all great. Miss you guys, sorry I did not get to say goodbye!

Dr. Wadson was amazing, unfortunately he has retired. None of the staff have stayed on. As for the new office staff and Dentist, I having nothing good to say except go somewhere else.

Dr. Bryan Wadson is one the the best dentist I have ever had. I have been with him for over 30 years. He is always so calm, gentle and approachable. He would never push anything on you that didn't need to be done but would monitor what teeth may need work down the road. I have always found his staff, Violet, Joanne, Deanna and Vicki very professional and knowledgeable. I am very sad that Dr. Wadeson has sold his practice and is retiring but he definitely deserves it. He has served his patients well! Change is hard for us old timers. I wish the new owner well, but will see if I stay.

Dr. Wadson is a terrific dentist and his dental staff is fantastic...... but since Dr. Wadson has sold his practice the office staff suck. I noticed every time I was there , people were paying a lot of extra money. I was told that my bill of $193.00 was not covered on my 2 dental plans.... when I refused to pay, they classified it as something else and ... SURPRISE ... my 2 plans paid 100% of the bill. I bet that others that have to pay extra should contact their Pacific Blue Cross or other providers 1st before forking out you money. Dr Wadson was soo caring and concerned about you and your teeth, but now that is not his priority. I was sent to Dr. Thom in Duncan....... don't waist your money, he was to look at 11 teeth, but cold tested 3 teeth and electrified 4 teeth without telling me of the electric current . After the torturing me, told me to take pain medication. Happy Retirement is better than sticking with this company as they are dragging you down after building a great practice

Well that’s explains a lot if Bryan has sold the business as the customers service has declined and the estimate for a filling is between $100 to $500...surely they can estimate better than that and of course it’s NEVER going to be on a lower scale ..I was one of Bryan first patients ..he is a great de test and so is his hygienists Deanna but I’m won’t be staying if I am not valued and I am not willing to pay ridiculous prices whether I have dental coverage or not. My loyalty is only to Bryan

NEW OWNER/DENTIST:
My family & I have been going to DR. Wadson since moving here in 2014. My hygienist is Deanna & she is the best but my husband has Kristy(so?) & loves her !!
Dr. Ken Phelps came in to work here about a yr. or 2 ago & he has quickly become another favourite !! They are the best - both low key, calm , caring .. They only do work that needs to be done & watch/note anything that may need doing In future.
Unfortunately, (fortunately for him) Dr. Wadson sold his practice & a new owner has come on - Dr. Brayan Farzim (seems to have worked in Edmonton previously) My husband & I don’t care for him .. he told each of us individually, that we had 2 cavities that needed filling & he had a root canal to be done !?! I had him bring up previous xrays & they were the same ... don’t like this at all.
Wonder if Drs. Wadson & Phelps will stay on .. Joanne (LONG TIME office Mgr.) is gone since I was there last wk with my mom :/

Bryan, Vicki, Deanna, Joanne and Vi have been my dental team for close to 30 years. They are very very good in every aspect of their practise. No possible need to search further than this office - caring professionals, high standards, skillful in every way, helpful always. I think these guys are the best, so much so that I commute to this dental office now from Vancouver for all my work.

Relocating to Nanaimo I was hesitant on the dentist I would find. Having many bad experiences in the past I was really wanting to find a dentist that was gentle, understanding and patient. Dr. Wadson is just that. Due to the move I waited until I had coverage before going, so it was almost 2yrs for the check up and cleaning. I was worried that I would have a problem with my teeth, but fortunately my check up was fine. Only having to remove an old silver filling (thinking that my prior dentist had changed all my old fillings). Dr. Wadson was so gentle with the needle, it was the first time in my life, I never felt the needle! my filling was done before I knew it and I was able to relax and not feel a thing.. I would recommend anyone to go and see Dr. Wadson, the staff are just as friendly and I found my experince enjoyable and not terrifying.

I love Dr. Wadson. He is caring, professional and respectful. He does excellent work and always makes me feel that he is working with me to do as little as possible, but everything that is necessary. I use to be terrified about going to the dentist but since Dr. Wadson has been my dentist I no longer fear going to the dentist. I can highly recommend him. I found his receptionist to be friendly and helpful.

Dr Bryan Wadson always puts me at ease (and I always hated going to a dentist). His Hygeneist Deanna is the best I have ever experienced...very gentle (virtually painless) and always friendly. The receptionists could be a bit friendlier, but Dr. Wadson will be my dentist for life. He does not recommend things you don't need and is quite painless.
