Was referred to him after an “irregular” ultrasound for an issue and he was very professional and caring with my concerns. He did everything he could to get me in for surgery during the shutdowns for COVID - I was so thankful.

When you are visiting Specialist office for a life changing diagnosis, you need a receptionist that treats people with compassion- she does NOT!

Great Doctor but receptionist is not.

I saw Dr. Steed after being 'terminated' by my previous GYN due to refusing hormonal birth control. Background on that is that I've had a partial pulmonary valve replacement with my two separate open heart procedures, it is not in my best interest to have hormonal birth control per my GP and Cardiologist. I have had non stop issues with my cycle since it started at age 12, and as goes with things I was encouraged to give it time to settle. No change into my 20s and 30s unless I was on birth control continuously for 3 months, off for 1, which was eliminated as an option after my 2016 open heart. IUD was horrific for me, the pain was unbelievable, so that was off the table. Dr. Steed actually listened to me, discussed remaining options, and recommended a total laproscopic hysterectomy. I cried tears of relief in his office; for the first time in 20 years I faced a future without pain because this amazing doctor chose to listen to me instead of dismiss me.

I have been a patient of him since 2008 and I still find him very respectful and knowledgeable at what he does as a Gynecologists. Thank you staff and Dr Steed for always taking care of me.

This doctor is fantastic! Puts you at ease, caring, respectful, easy-going mannerism. Reception lady is definitely not the friendliest but still professional.

Having Dr. Steed as my surgeon was my first in-depth experience with our healthcare system (my first surgery). He and his team were absolutely fantastic and I can't say enough about how understanding they were, caring, and efficient. I am so grateful my doctor directed me to Dr. Steed.

Who cares about the receptionist. I LOVE Dr. Steed. He is a good man guys, the real deal. He knows what he's doing and I'm just gonna say I had the smoothest easiest hysterectomy recovery ever. I trusted him with my life and I'd do it again.

Dr. Joel Steed is amazing. I have such a wonderful experience with him doing my hysterectomy. He is such a caring person and really listens to the needs of his patients. I could not have ask for a better doctor.
The staff there is also friendly and professional.
I have had a hard time reading all the comments stating that the receptionist is rude to people. She has been nothing but professional and kind to me. Even seeing her help other patients she has always been pleasant. Makes me wonder how those people were acting towards her?

He cared more about going on vacation during my surgery and about the patient before me whom he messed up on and she was rushed to Another hospital. My in and out bilateral-dermoid cystectomy ended up with me being in the hospital over a week and me almost dying. He didn’t fully cauterize so I was bleeding internally in the recovery room for hours before anyone in there realized what was going on and I went back into surgery almost 9hrs after the first one. To which he made perfectly clear to my mother and sister that he should have already been on vacation and was doing “us a favour”. All in all, I understand that mistakes happen and that he was probably a bit flustered from the first appointment, but at my follow-up when he asked how I was, I said “a bit traumatized actually”, he laughed at me and said “I have a hard time believing someone like you would be traumatized by anything”. I just spent over 5-years thinking I was wrong for wishing I had died. Of course it took some recent therapy, but only within this year when I finally realized he was wrong and I have every right to feel they way I did, I just wish I would have realized earlier. I’ve kept this to myself for so long and just felt it was time for me to speak out since all I see is 5 star reviews, he’s not perfect or even close.

Dr. Steed is amazing!! From Day one he was compassionate and understanding to my situation. He gave me a couple of options, tried one, didn't work and decided on a TLH. I've had no pain! The problem is solved!!! Thank you Dr. Steed for all of your help!!!
