Dr. Perpick worked with me for just under two years. I had seen several mental health professionals before her, all of whom helped me through some difficult times. However, I never really got the sense of resolution and peace with myself and others that I finally have now. I attribute this largely to Dr. Perpick's particular approach and also to her style of practice. She is very compassionate while always a straight shooter. She doesn't flaunt it but she is a very smart person who has passion for studying the human psyche. It's a great combination of qualities that she has. I feel hugely grateful for having had her in my life.

My experience with Dr. Perpick has been excellent. I give her gold stars in every category of care. Then there's the part that you can't measure, which is her empathy and compassion and ability to understand you that I, for one, have not quite experienced with anyone else, and certainly not, from the medical world. This, in the end, has been the most powerful aspect of my recovery.

Dr. Perpick puts so much energy into her work that it's hard to lose motivation yourself. She listens, and she also talks when you need her to, which I like because I've been to another psychiatrist who said almost nothing for the full hour. It was like being given the silent treatment and it made me super uncomfortable. Dr. Perpick is super easy to be with and before I knew it I was telling her everything. She was really helpful in tweaking my meds but did not push me to change them. i really felt like we were working together.

Just looking at these comments for the first time. Previous comment must be meant for another doctor. We had our first session for marital therapy just last week. So Dr. Perpick is obviously alive and kicking and not retired. It was clear that she is passionate about working with couples and well informed about the effect of mental health on relationships. She was really generous with her time. We left feeling hopeful.

I am in my early 20s, and have been having serious struggles with my mental health for over 10 years. I saw many counsellors and a few psychiatrists, but nothing really changed. I started seeing Dr. Marion about a year ago, and I can't believe what a difference working with her has made to my life. It is not easy, and the sessions are no picnic in the park, but she somehow gets to your suffering without being overly "sympathetic" and "mushy", and also not "cold" and "clinical". She is just genuine, a real human being doctor who takes the time, and has the skills, to "get" you. I am on a medication, but only one, and I know it is not the main reason I am doing so much better. I know myself now, and there is no medication that could have done that for me on its own. Now, I am looking forward to the second semester of my second year of university, and I think I just may have a pretty good life in store for me. By the way, I came out this year, and I have Dr. Perpick to thank for that, too.

Dr. Perpick helped me more than I can ever say with words. We had a rocky start - I gave her a hard time more than once, but she never never never gave up on me, she accepted me for who I am, and from there, somehow, I have grown into more of who I have always wanted to be. I'm not exactly sure how she did what she did with me. She would say we did it together. For sure, she helped me actually feel and not just exist, and tho it was real hard at times, I figured out that she was going to be there with me where I hurt. I never had that before, from anybody. I'm almost ready to say goodbye to Dr. Perpick, and I feel sad, but it's OK because my heart and my world is much bigger now. If you read this, Dr. P, I wish for you tons of good things and lots of treats for 🐕🐕 🐕!

Dr. Perpick-Breton has been absolutely wonderful. She is available, even between sessions if you need a prescription, and she never rushes you through a session. It's like you are the only thing that matters when you are with her. She just "gets" me, like I've never been gotten before. She's helped me feel things that I thought I couldn't ever tolerate feeling, and somehow, I am no longer constantly depressed. She has seen me through a number of challenges in my life, and I have not felt like I am alone in my struggles anymore. I see her less now than I used to, because I know she will be there when I need her. I think that I may actually have a life to go out and live, and feel grateful that she has led me to seeing this.

Dr Perpick literally saved my life. She diagnosed a medical issue during a virtual appointment, from actually listening to me, looking at me, and hearing me.  She ordered lab tests right away and insisted I go to the ER, which I did. That got me quickly to a specialist referral and the medications I needed. My GP retired and who knows how long I’ll be waiting to find one. Thankfully Dr. Perpick was there and so on the ball.  This is a reminder that psychiatrists (at least ones like her) are medical doctors.

I am so grateful I found this doctor. She treated me for a depression which I’ve had for years with a combination of medications and psychotherapy. Human and humble, she is the first doctor I’ve met who can say, “I don’t know”! Ironically, she knows much more than many. A great big thank you for to this doctor for helping me get my life back.

I live in northern BC. The waits for a psychiatrist are very long, and when I did finally get to see one, I only got an hour of their time. I found Dr. Perpick through Psychiatry Online Canada. She has been absolutely excellent. We did have to go the medication route, but she didn't rush into it or push. I had side effects with several medications that we tried, despite that one, in particular, worked great. Dr. Perpick was steadfast in her support of me until we found something I could tolerate and that worked well for me. She is so knowledgeable, and confident - in a good way, that makes you know you are in good hands. She never stops emphasizing that medication is only a part of the treatment, and how important what I do is towards getting better. I really trust her, which is not something I say easily.
