He may be a great surgeon but the way circumcision are held St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, TX. is a horrible experience. The Mothers of these baby boys are within hearing distance of the procedures being done. These babies are brought into a room 4 at a time. The mothers change their babies into gowns and each one is taken while the others mothers are signing papers and vitals taken while the babies taken ahead of you are screaming. They are brought back to you while some are still crying. This may be hospital procedure but what a horrifying ordeal for the mothers. Some motheres had tears in their eyes as they were redress their child.

My 10yr old son had emergency surgery to remove his appendix. Dr. Hicks did an incredible job putting him at ease and explaining everything to him. He is a definite type a personality but that is exactly what I'm looking for when putting my child's life in his hands!

Uses old fashioned and outdated diagnostic and treatment methods, and besides that, he's rude. Several former patients of his recommended that we not use him for various reasons, one of wich being he is extremely uncompassionate towards patients and families. I ended up taking my daughter to see a pediatric urologist in Houston and got a totally different diagnosis and treatment plan. My advice: skip Dr. Hicks and make the short drive to Texas Children's to see a specialist you can feel confident in.
