Did a great job repairing my awful hip.. In my second year I did a 20KM trail in Yoho, lots of climbing and rock balancing through streams and the hip amazed me. Was able to step up with both legs without pain. Now, 5 years later, the hip is still very good. Recommend him.

My dad waited two years to get in with him for surgery and our pre op appointment was on the phone. Dr Rose described the surgery by reading something he had written in a very rote manner. He had no regard for my father’s health and when I asked a few questions about alternate options he yelled at me. I ended up in tears and then he flatly asked if we had any more questions and hung up. When I relayed this encounter to my dad’s GP he said he wasn’t surprised and that we just had to talk to Dr Rose again and try and get on his good side. This is not ethical medicine.

I have had a hip replacement and a knee replacement performed by Dr Rose. Dr Rose and Angela are both courteous and proficient. Both surgeries were performed perfectly over 10 yrs ago, and I am having no ongoing problems. The knee replacement was particularly difficult because of previous reconstruction surgery done, and Dr Rose did a great job manouevering the old issues. I highly recommend Dr Rose for any surgeries you might need.

DR . rose's staff girl rude and mean and so is he .He did a hip replacement and broke my femur during surgery .I was kicked out of the abbotsford hospital the next morning .I couldn't even walk to the washroom I had to sit on this this chair thing because it was to painful to walk with my broken leg .I went home and the next day i was back at the hospital in mission because of a fever and sick to my stomache and really bad pain .The mission hospital helped me with every thing right away they were so kind .the next day I was back at the hospital my foot and whole leg was so swelled that I couldn't even get my pants on or my shoes I had wear my pj and slippers .The dr. at the hospital said it wasn't normal to have that kind of swelling and right away did blood work for a blood clot . dr.rose I called me and said it was normal and it woulkd be swelled for months L never seen him again it is amost a 1year and I'm still in pain and have limp .I had surgery before this hip on my left the dr. was dr. mark chui in langley did the surgery and I was in the langley hospital for three days with physiotherapy .I was not in pain when i got home I got walk up and down the stairs with no pain and after a month and half I was walking better then before he was the best surgeon ever so if you neeed a dr. don;t go to dr rose and if you can get dr. mark chui of langley

At 59 he decided I was too old to fix, and he would have done it already if I was 20 years younger. Two Meniscal tears in right knee shown in MRI. (3 month wait to get that). Was told by Dr. Rose to take a lot of pain killers, when I asked how this would help repair my knee he said he could cut me open and look around if I wanted. I have requested a second opinion.

My mother was unable to reach Dr. Rose's office for weeks at a time and then after waiting months was only given a phone call and Dr. Reordered the se exact of x-rays her GP had ordered months earlier. No care for the human on the other end of an urgent situation and now my mom is in hospice. He may nit have been able to predict cancer and it would have been too late but certainly did not have any interest in further investigation.

Dr Rose has done both my TKR, and one hip. I recommend him anyway! He's a great surgeon and I know I'm in good hands.

Doctor's dont' always need best bedside manner, especially when you pull long shifts like he does. Crushed my forearm in a quad accident, feel lucky I had dr rose. 6 weeks in, the rate of healing isn't under his control, but happy I still have use of my hand. Best job on scars I ever had done, barely even see them, and they are 8" long. still be a while yet to see if my smaller bone knits together, and still some nerve damage to surface but he did his best to try to save them, so hoping feeling will come back. Just feel really lucky that he was the emergency surgeon that day, and he pulled a very long day to get my 5 1/2 hour surgery done. Post op though, he was friendly on post op followups.. but again, you want a skillful surgeon, not a friend for something like this. Finally can type two handed again. Oh, and everyone at the hospital spoke to his skill as a surgeion, which should carry a lot of weight. I would use him again in a heartbeat.
