Had this hack as a doctor growing up, mostly because he was in the town that I grew up in. Far too many bad experiences in his office to recount here.

Like many Dowling residents, I am glad Nanka-Bruce is no longer practicing. I find it shocking how people can say "but he never did anything to me" and blame false accusers. That is exactly how he got away with it for 30 years. It was the 1970s, and he was 'the trusted town doctor'. I tip my hat to the ladies who were brave enough to speak out.

Dr. Nanka-Bruce was always very professional and helpful to me- a female patient for many years. It's a tremendous shame that he is no longer practicing, especially under the circumstances in which he was forced to retire. Sudbury needs more good doctor's like him and fewer people with ulterior motives. Because of what undoubtedly in my mind were false accusations against him, many Sudburians, including me, ended up losing their family doctor. I urge anyone formulating an opinion to take many of the previous negative comments with a grain of salt.

I was 14 when I first saw him. I was young and living on my own. I knew nothing. He has scarred me for life. I will now not see a male doctor because I have no trust in them. He humiliated me and took advantage of me. He inserted his fingers into me during an examination. I took much longer than it should have. It seemed to me that he was enjoying himself. While he was trying to stimulate me, he would ask questions, like how many partners did I have, did I enojoy sex etc...Taking his licence away is not enough!

Was a Patient from birth to his removal. He repeatedly Misdiagnosed and prescribed wrong drugs. When I had major Issues I would ask for a referal to a specialist. You are supposed to get a physical before High School and College adn to this day I have never had an actual Physical. I would go to his office, he would say do you feel ok? Playing sports? that was all. I have been without a Dr for a few years and it has been better. I regularly go to Mike Franklins Walk-in clinic- excellent Dr.

This man was very helpful when my father was diagnosed with cancer. He had him an appointment with a specialist within a couple of weeks and my father underwent surgery within a month of being diagnosed. Granted, his personality left a lot to be desired at times and he had little patience for people who would come to him but not follow his advice. The waiting times in his office were not long and unlike some doctors where you have to wait months for an appointment, you could call his office the same day and get in to see him. The people in my family, both men and women, do not go see the doctor for every little thing that comes up so he knew when we went in there was a reason, we didn't just want pills from him. We also never experienced any incident for which he was charged, and neither did anyone I know. His forced retirement left alot of people without a family doctor.

That this man is even allowed to precede his name with the designation "Dr." is mind boggling. He was my family doctor for years while I lived in Dowling, ON. He was an uncaring, insensitive pill pusher. I am amazed that my elderly parents survived his care. I understand he is no longer practicing medicine -- all I can say is ... Thank God!

This farce of a physician has finally been charged and has lost his license to practice. To think he had a 'free for all' in both Sudbury and Dowling for almost 30 years makes me shudder! He was our family doctor for the whole time he was in Dowling. He gave out drugs - period!
