Dr Habal is a giant in his field; knowledgeable, kind , compassionate, caring and a fine gentleman. Happy for him that he is retiring but very sad for me. Today might have been my very last appt 😔

The man is gold. Had been to four gastroenterologists prior who were verging on being incompetent. For thirty years I have been treated with respect and highest level of medical care.

Dr. Habal has been my Dr for over 25 years. He is excellent. He performs his procedures with great skill and is very caring. He saved me from having a procedure last year that could have produced disatrous results. He did this because of skill and care and research and his concern for patients. I would highly recommend Dr Habal. In addition, Dr Habal collaborates with my entire UHN medical team to ensure that I get the best all round treatment. I have been seeing dr. Habal for 30yrs. There have been many discrepancy over the years ,as I look back in hindsight. I have ended up in emergency a couple times and after prompting from the emergency doctors, he would show some concern and run test. If not he treated me as if I was making up my illness.During this pandemic he decided he is dropping me as his patient. I need surgery and he just passes me on to a new Gastroenterologist ,one that I have never met . Dr. Habal has been very insensitive . He doesn't listen. I put my trust in him and feel let down. I don't think he cares about his patients, maybe before but not now a days.

Dr Habal did an investigative colonoscopy and gastroscopy on me recently and he is great! Has a great sense of humour and very kind and caring. Highly recommend him !

Dr. Habal has been my gastroenterologist since 1994. I became acutely ill in December of 1994. Dr. Habal put a plan into action that literally saved my life. Over the ensuing years he has become like family. I could not have had better care over these many years and I will be forever thankful for his skill, are and compassion.

I was referred to dr. Habel after I had a whipple, he has always been kind, caring, understanding, has a good sense of humour. Thanks for all your care Dr. Habel, life would be very difficult without seeing you.
