Lost me a finger! If I could give her a zero I would. If she had acted sooner instead of giving me medication for two weeks, when it was obvious medication was not the answer but a biopsy I would still have my finger. Never went back! Stay away!

I am so sorry that Dr. Willoughby has retired. I found her professional, kind and caring. She went beyond the minimal and found a very excellent cosmetic surgeon to remove a potentially dangerous cancerous growth. Thank You so much for your wonderful service. Guelph will miss such a good physician.

I don’t remember her staff or punctuality but I have a hideous scar from her removing a mole and I will have to pay out of my own pocket to have a scar revision.

Horrible rude dr. Made you wait hours in waiting room then makes up excuse about other emergencies, but ask her other staff and they tell you she purposely overbooks to rip off OHIP. When I questioned her about this she asked me to leave and never come back. Crooked. Glad she's retired and gone.

Thank goodness she has retired. In the early days she was a conscientious, caring doctor. I don’t know what happened but nasty and minimally helpful are kind descriptors.

Today I saw Dr, Joanne Willoughby for the last time. Why? Simply because she is going to retire the end of January. For me, I am not only losing a great Doctor, I am losing someone who I have come to think of as a kind caring friend. She has always gone above and beyond the call of duty for me... I won't bore you with the details, but trust me she went above and beyond the call of duty as a Doctor some years back to make sure every I was dotted and every T crossed.. It was at Christmas time too I might add. I have seen negative comments about her but I know for me I could not have asked for a better Doctor. I will miss her and her husband who is a wonderful man. Together they make a great team. I hope my Family Doctor can find a Doctor who can fill Dr. Joanne Willoughby's shoes. I will miss you so much. You are a life saver. A grateful patient from Guelph . I have been seeing Dr. Willoughby for seven years. As long a you do what she says everything will be fine.

I had one bad experience with her where she told me to apply for trillium benefits because the meds I needed were costly and trillium would pay part of the cost. I told her I needed to do my taxes first. So , next appointment she just went ahead and applied for the drugs I needed without even asking if I had Trillium benefits. I took a bit longer to do my taxes and the drug company kept calling her office. So eventually the drug company gave me the drug for free for six months. Next appointment Willoughby gave me hell for taking so long to do my taxes. I just sat there and took my lumps but this could have been avoided if she would have communicated with me. When I did get Trillium Willoughby told me I did not need the drugs anymore and to come back when I did need them. In eight months I needed the drugs so I made an appointment. I had to go through all the test again and reapply for the drug. I think I was just taken off of the drug out of spite because she was pissed off at me.

Anyhow , she's retiring In January

I brought my 14 year old daughter to see Dr Willoughby because she’s been dealing with some skin issues for over a year.
She was extremely rude, short tempered and had a TERRIBLE bed side manner. And when asked to look at a secondary area (with the same rash) she told my daughter that “that IS NOT on the referral!” I wanted to say, “She’s 14?!?”
Being a Nurse and working along side many healthcare professionals I can say that I will NEVER recommend, nor return to Dr Willoughby for ANY dermatological concerns.
So disappointed with our first experience with a dermatologist in Guelph.

I have went for 5 sessions and would probably be going back except she told me my sessions were going to start costing me double. This left me hanging, I had to travel from Woodstock to Guelph and have to deal with the excruciating pain of having it done and my appt. not being longer than anybody else's, I was to pay double.
My introduction session I was told My neck would be cleared up in 3 sessions and yet 5 sessions later I still have a lot of sunspots or whatever you want to call them.
