After submitting my review I scrolled down. Ha! The good reviews had to have been written by staff and the Doctors response is all identical which confirms he is not a participant and that his staff are the only people you see. Of course, they are going to come to this site and write pretty things. They want to keep their job but the truth is the patients telling you how awful it really is. This office should be closed by the Virginia Medical Association

You are very lucky to see Dr. Gauthier- ever!Even when you specifically request to see him- it's intern after Intern;- and those interns DO NOT listen to your questions and fears- they just don't take the time to listen and get you tested- If they did - then well I wouldn't be watching my Mom being eaten away bit by bit from Cancer- that would have been detected yrs ago and would have been manageable then at the time... I guess he sees new patients- and not his older ones- ( they get turned over to his interns) - Absolutely NO admiration here bill a new client- get them out the door to bill a new one- try a different drug- don't bother testing to find out the issue... He loves kids and babies- should go into pedeatrics . I know he has received the results from the Hospital and the Cancer surgeon by now. Sir - you did this- you are negligent ! take on new patients to bill- gready! you make me sick and I will be calling you- karma

Dr. Gauthier has been awesome. He has done several injections for me. Very knowledgeable and I love the way he explains things and wants you to be a part of your own health. Love the fact his answer is not to just hand out narcotics. I trust him and know I can count on him
anytime even in a pinch.

Dr. Gauthier is the best in area in his field. I have had many spine infections done by him and I trust his expertise.

So, I have been seeing one pain management doctor and have done well. My pain is not completely gone, but overall improved. I thought I would get another opinion, just to see if there was something extra. Dr. Gauthier then offered me an injection, which I had. I feel so much worse now. Also, despite him being a "pain doctor", he would not give me any pain medications. He said that he doesn't prescribe medications and only does injections. I didn't know that pain doctors were so picky. I tried going back to my regular doctor as he does both medications and injections, and now he will not see me anymore. He said that since I had an injection at another doctr's office, he couldn't manage the complications from another pain doctor and that I should be able to get pain medicaitons from Dr. Gautheier. Dr. Gauthier refused. Bad experience about going here. Would not recommedn. I would recommend staying with a doctor who does EVERYTHING, not just shots!!!!
