I went for laser treatment for my broken capillaries on my face and had 16 burn marks on my face for over 3 months. It looked like someone put a cigarette out on my face. He had no idea what he was doing and was definitely shocked with my outcome. I had to pay $90 to see a specialist to let me know it was hyper pigmentation and would eventually go away. Needless to say, I still have the broken capillaries! He does not know anything about laser and just does it so he can make $ from your insurance!

I have been going to Dr. Shavelson for over 20 years. He is a skilled Dr, an excellent diagnostician, and a caring and concerned man. His office staff is proficient in customer service and very friendly. There is an occasional wait but that is because of the time he devotes to answering each patients questions and concerns. I would recommend him to anyone as the best !!

I walked in and saw that no one was in the waiting room so I thought to myself this is nice it will be quick. Well was I wrong waited in the waiting room for about 20 minutes and then the nurse brought me back to the exam room she did my vitals and left and said the doctor will be in shortly. For the next 45 minutes I heard Dr Shavelson in the hallway in the and in the reception area with his staff just taking care of Smalltalk nothing medical related . He finally strolled into the room for about two minutes then had to leave for an urgent phone call for 10 minutes came back spent about another 5 to 10 minutes with me and sent me on my way. He seems like a fairly knowledgeable doctor however has complete disregard for anyone's time but his own

Everytime I call for an appointment I have to wait for over a month to be seen. I wanted an appointment and called for on in September when I was sick and was told "Dr. Shavelson doesn't have any appointments open unril October."

Your visit will go like this: wait time in Waiting Room 10-15 minutes. Wait time in Exam Room 60 minutes+. Never fails. One time I waited in Exam room for 90 minutes before he popped in. Did I wait this long cause he's a great doctor? No. I waited that long cause after 45 minutes of waiting I figured I'd already wasted that much time, might as well keep waiting.
