Has moved his practice 3 times in about 5 yrs (not just location but moving from one medical practice group to another). Yellow flag. We had the hardest time getting appts. with him and waiting hours & sometimes days for a call back for an appt. when they had us leave a message with his nurse Stephanie. My sister went to him complaining of severe headaches, he sent her home on an antibiotic. Her follow ups continued like this for 2 mo. until she was rushed to the ER. Her diagnosis - terminal brain cancer. My niece still went to him until two weeks ago when she called to get an appt. and they said they wouldn't be able to get her in for a week because they were booked. She told them she was VERY sick but they had her leave a message with Stephanie. She waited for them to call back but nothing. She ended up at having to go to a walk in clinic and was diagnosed with pneumonia. Two weeks later she still hasn't heard from his office. Horrible service. Now she is switching doctors.

I went in and explicitly said I was there for a wellness check-up which is 100% covered. Dr. Poor started to ask general questions about my health. He quickly left after his brief visit. Later, I got a bill with consultation charges for medical issues when I had none. I was told by the billing department that they could charge this whenever the doctor spoke with the patient about anything.

He seems to lack knowledge, confidence, and skill. Everytime I went in he looked things up on his electronic device as if he wasn't confindent answering my questions. I've seen lots of doctors, and he's the only one to ever do that in my presence. I finally was able to switch to a pediatrician, thank goodness, and she has had completely different methods/advice that have actually worked. He's a nice guy, just not a great doctor in my opinion!

Dr. Poor has helped almost every member of my family. He is great at treating asthma, allergies, ingrown toenails, kidney infections, rashes, depression, and seems like he has handled everything we have thrown at him. He is an excellent listener and is very kind and respectful to my daughter who has disabilities. He is always cheerful. He is my most favorite doctor I have every had. His office is very clean and he is a hand washer. His front desk ladies are nice.

Dr. Poor is extremely punctual, and courteous. He listens very well and makes you feel as if you are not in a rush. He freely shares his ideas and your diagnosis with you--coming up with a short-term and long term plan. He is willing to help the patient with non-traditional ideas, making up his own mind and at the same, he will refer you to a specialist when appropriate. His staff are excellent as they return phone calls quickly and are in contact with you regarding insurance claim issues and other administrative issues. Patient support is a primary concern for this office. Overall, he is a very good-to-excellent practitioner who always keeps the patient in mind.

Dr. Poor is personable, but if you have more than a cold or boo-boo, find another doctor. His inexperience shows. Missed diagnosing skin rash on husband, that turned out to be precursor/symptom of leukemia, from which he died 2 months later. He insisted on ultrasounds to find the blood clot in my leg. 2 found none, - ER and he both insisted I had a clot. (Took me off coumadin, even though swollen & he still said I had a clot.) He was going to do a 3rd, saying the MRI my daughter wanted done would not show clots, just deep tissue masses. My daughter insisted - MRI showed the iliac vein clot, resulting in having to have it removed and a stent put in place. I was put back on coumadin for 6 months, min. Followup visit made him nervous, with my daughter grilling him on why he did what he did. He admitted he was unfamiliar with issue. He pushed me to find a clinic to monitor INR level afterwards, rather than his office. Never called to follow up with me either (3 months now).

Wonderful Office Staff, Always pleasant and professional. Dr. Poor is a caring Dr. He takes the time to listen carefully and discusses options for care. He is not a PILL PUSHER! I have seen Dr's in the past who start writing an RX before you gave even finished describing the problem. Dr. Poor includes you in choosing the best treatment plan. I reccomend Dr. Poor highly.
