What an excellent doctor, knowledgeable in her profession, kind, intelligent, etc. Can't say enough wonderful things about this doctor. Excellent in her field! Staff is kind and very helpful. I can't wait to find her new practice.

Rude, uncaring, very rushed, seems unstable.. One of the worst doctors that I have ever encountered.

Two issues I had, the first: my list of allergies were reviewed with me while being seen for chest congestion, and on that visit, the MD prescribed a medication that I was allergic to, which caused a negative reaction, a return visit, and additional fees out of my pocket. The second issue I had: I have been treating the same medical condition for nearly 30 years, high cholesterol. She wanted me to have labs every three months though my health had not changed in years, which seemed to me that it a) caused me to spend money 4 times per year rather than 1 time per year = more money for her practice, and b) it allowed her to collect from my insurance company 4 times a year rather than 1 time a year = more money for her practice. I cannot prove this was the motivation, but I have found a different option for my care because of it.

Dr. McElhaney's staff are wonderful, and I was always seen promptly within ten minutes or so of my appointment times. She herself is personable and friendly, but she tends to rush to a diagnosis before the patient even finishes explaining the problem. In the time I have been her patient, I have had to get second opinions that confirmed three separate misdiagnoses on her part, all for rather simple problems. Very likeable person with a fabulous staff, but I won't be going back.

Dr. McElhaney is the best primary Dr. I have ever had. She is caring , compassionate and honest with you. She is the absolutely the best Dr. She has left Wellstar Powder Springs and I am trying to find her new location. My health has gone down since she left. I'm searching for you Dr. McElhaney you are the greatest!!!!

I love Dr. McElhaney. She makes doing to the doctor enjoyable. Although I will miss her I am overjoyed that she left that pit of awfullness where she worked at. I hated going to that office with that horrible staff I only went there to see her

I have used Dr McElhaney for the last three years. She is the most caring Dr I have been to. I am going to miss her in Powder Springs and will try to find her as I hate to start with a new doctor.
