Is she busy, yes, and for good reason. She saved my life. She may not hand hold you through everything, but when the chips are down you want her in your corner. She truely cares about all of her patients and will do anything to help them. FYI, she is now at DePaul. The comments about her being rude, no she is not. She is focused and determined to make sure she saves every life she can. In a few months I will be moving to another state and my biggest fear in moving is that I will not find a doctor as good as her. Like I said she is busy, and for good reason, she cares and is the best doctor I have found in St. Louis, who is not a 'specialist".

I went to Dr. Watkins for about 3 years and was satisfied. But I recently have had a lot of tests and found out that she is very uncommunicative. I had a cat scan of my brain at the ER that showed something suspicious per the ER doc and she never called me. I had to make an appointment and pay a co-pay to find out if there is anything seriously wrong. Also, I had a breathing test that showed normal but she ordered a barium swallow for dysphagia, which is difficulty swallowing. I don't have that symptom and the only information I got was from the nurse. I don't mind doing the test but I need a doctor to explain her reasoning for ordering it. I am changing doctors.

Staff could be more curtiess and trying to call for an appointment is long and time cosuming thing. But i put up with it because she is a good doctor.

attitude problem. i called one time in need of prednizone for an allergic reaction and she was the physician on call. she behaved as if the call irritated her. if she doesn't like being the physician on call she is in the wrong line of work. after explaining my situation to her in detail, she actually asked if i wanted her to call in a prescription. what did she think i wanted...to ask her out on a date?
