Dr.Hader is spectacular. He presented all the information regarding my case in a clear and concise manner. Was always willing to stop and provide clarity if I required it and discussed all of my options. I never felt pressured, and he was happy to give me his thoughts on the best path forward. Prior to starting, this medical road I was hesitant and anxious. I now feel confident and comfortable with my decisions. Can't thank this man enough.

Great & super smart guy! Any question I had about my surgery, he told me what will be done. Everything now is done according to how he explained.

This is a bad surgeon, and a very bad person in general that will con you, and leave you with permanent damages to your body, and then he will not have follow up appointments and deny doing any wrong..

This man told me if I had a craniotomy that my hearing would not be affected. Sure enough it was damaged, and I have permanent hearing loss, and tinnitus now. I asked for a MRI to be done to see if the damage can be fixed. This pos refused to book me a new MRI and told me to go see an ENT specialist instead.. Prior to my surgery I was able to get MRI's done in a weeks time, I am about 6 months into a 11 month wait for the MRI for my ear...

I guess permanently damaging a professional musicians hearing is not high on their priority list. Tell someone to have a surgery to stay alive and then at the same time take the one and only job they can do away from them as well??

That is the way Dr. Walter Hader thinks.. He doesn't think about you or your future, he only thinks about that next pay check he's getting from Foothills Hospital which is paid by our tax dollars

Seriously beware, and don't believe this man, no matter how nice he seems. He does not actually care about you!

Dr. Hader is a very well respected Neurosurgeon but he’s got a huge god complex and horrible bedside manner. He performed 2 craniotomies on me a little over 8 years ago and made tons of promises which ended up not being true. He said he could cure my seizures, which he didn’t because I have treatment resistant epilepsy. He also said I wouldn’t have any complications which was also, untrue. He gave (my parents) 2 options, to blindly go in and remove scar tissue from my frontal lobe which would cure my seizures , or to put electrodes on my brain and take me off my meds for a week to see where exactly my seizures were coming from. Essentially 2 surgeries instead of one. My family was against both options but I opted to do both. It was the worst experience of my life, I had a brain bleed between both surgeries which impacted my speech temporarily. They evacuated it the next day along with doing the resection. He sent me home 2 days later telling me to take Advil for any residual pain (which didn’t help). A month later I went to the hospital because half my face was swollen due to another complication which needed observation. My seizures returned and he told me it was all in my head and implied I was lying. Months later my neurologist told me I have treatment resistant epilepsy and there was a risk of my seizures returning even with medication and the surgeries. I haven’t had a tonic-clonic seizure since before my surgeries so to some extent I am grateful, but the promise of a seizure free life and risk free operations was false. Had he given me the correct information to make an informed decision I would’ve still gone through with it but I’m quite unhappy. I’ll also mention that he wouldn’t see me or operate on me unless my parents were there and approved even though I was 20 years old at the time. According to him, I would never be a productive member of society and I’d have behavioural issues for the rest of my life. Again; not true. I have a full time job, I’m a part time student, and healthy I have relationships. In summation, I don’t doubt his abilities but I do believe he could benefit from some additional sensitivity training in bedside manner and to check his ego before making false promises to patients.

Dr Hader performed surgery for refractory epilepsy in our 3 year old. Hands down one of the best doctors we have ever worked with.

8 years following my neuro surgery, I'm still seizure free, with meds. Was uncontrollable with meds prior for my entire life. I've obtained license and have driven across country a couple times since. Very thankful for having him as my neuro surgeon. Thank you, Dr Hader.
