Fantastic doctor. He is very “to the point” and unbelievably knowledgeable. I love that. He is also very patient…my mother put him to the test many times and I have to say, he handled some fairly challenging situations with complete grace. She was blessed to have him.

this man is worst Dr I have had to deal with in my 51 years as a nurse, he does not listen to patients or family .He pushes medications when not needed has nurses do paper tests and then prescribes medication even when told patient does not tolerate medications and is not needed He puts patients on anti depressants after having staff do GDS and when score reaches a number puts on medication without telling patient or famliy member He has not even seen patient or sat down to have a conversation with patient and family. My family member had just been admitted to facility and he was told at case conference that patient cannot take anti depressant medications that he wanted to start patient on after staff did GDS and score was high He was informed by family and patient that patient is not depressed and not to start any antidepressant medications!
Nurse informed family and patient during visit when celebrating patients 98th Birthday that Dr was starting patient on Effexor writer told her "no" patient is not to be on any anti depressant the she had trials before and made her ill. The next days patient complained of feeling ill and was in bed and writer spoke with Nurses advising of same only to find out Dr then ordered another medication that she had been on before which made her sick and he ordered medication over the phone while he was on vacation in Hawaii. Writer complained to nurse asking what had changed as patient complained to family not feeling well and was in bed found out he had prescribed medication while in Hawaii over the phone. Writer advised to stop medication, and patient felt better following stoppage of medication.Nurses were told not to put patient on anti depressants as not needed patient not depressed.
Forward three months Dr ordered another antidepressant without patient or family knowledge. Patient was c/o not feeling well feeling light headed ,nauseated not wanting to eat .Writer spoke with Nurse asked if any medication changes was advised "no "
Writer asked to have investigation as patient not feeling well for over a week! Patient not eating writer brought in Boost to try to supplement her not eating . Patient called writer asking if I/V fluids could be started as mouth very dry nd not abe to eat due to extreme nausea. When asked if nurses had done anything re blood work she said they told her she was not diabetic. Writer called and spoke with another nurse and asked again if any medication changes only to find out Dr had put her on another anti-depressant medication again and Dr or Nurses had not informed patient or family of same. Writer told nurse to stop medication and tell Dr who ordered it again not to put patient on anti depressants .He does not know what it is to engage with patient s and do proper assessment and get to know them as human beings.
Patient is not demented !and is aware and writer is a Registered Psychiatric Nurse of 51 years experience with specialty in Geriatrics,. and knows patients history and personality, Writer has requested facility to appoint another Dr to Patients care
Writer will be reporting incidents to College of Physicians and Surgeons

Dr. Major is an "old school" family physician. He isn't into quick fixes. He cares about his patients and is a great family physician. I will be sad when he retires. My whole family sees him.

he is a horrible Dr. his medical information is out of date. he makes you book extra appointments for tests needed when it could be done in one visit.

He gave me the wrong diagnosis and would not send me to a specialist even though I came back multiple times asking to see someone. Finally went to walk in clinic out of desperation and they figured out in one appointment. He also was very rude to my daughter who now has a bad view of doctors as a result

Worst doctor I've ever been been to. Extremely rude, doesn't seem to understand what you say to him (or just isn't listening/doesn't care), he actually told me "hush" in the middle of trying to speak to him. Go anywhere else

Prescribed wrong medication, After 20+ Years still doesn't know how to say my name correctly, constantly forgets previous appointments and ignores all requests, told me the best form of contraception is abstinence. Always over books and makes you wait well past your scheduled time, but god help you if your 2 minutes late for your appointment. Stay far away from this doctor.
