Wow!!!!!, Did we have the same doctor? I saw Dr. Taylor from 1994 until he left Park Nicollet. He helped me immensely with my migraine headaches. Further, he did hospitalize me for a week at Methodist using intravenous DHE....medication that broke a horrendous cycle of daily, excruciating migraines. Additionally, Dr. Taylor wrote numerous letters to my employer as I tried to keep working...trying to find a way to keep me a functioning member of the workforce. When that did not work he and his staff gracoously and successfully filled out all of my disability forms.

His bedside manor was at times curt, but always direct and respectful, and he was very tough on me because he knew I could do more to decrease my migraines. We did a food diary and elimination diet, took care of female issues that caused terrible monthly migraines, I went totally fragrance and 2nd hand smoke free, took biofeedback, meditation and healing touch. I still utilize all three to this day.. . And we discussed every medication he suggested and why he felt it was needed in my case. If they did not work...we tried something else.

We worked together, along with his phenomenal staff. They expected me to do ALOT of work and I did. It was not easy but I removed every trigger, with Dr. Taylor's knowledge and help except for one...the weather and barometric pressure..something we did not have control of. I will always be grateful to him and wish him well.

I sincerely hope that those of you who suffer from migraines have found a Doctor that FITS your needs. Migraines are terrible and those who don't have migraines will never know the pain we suffer and depths of our disrepair.

I am sad to see everyone ripping apart Dr. Taylor. I saw him for about 3 years, and wanted to go back as my headaches have increased as of late. I am sad to see he is no longer at PNC/Methodist.

I first went to see Dr. Taylor when I suffered from a long term headache - a 9 month headache. Dr. Taylor admitted to me that he can be a bit ADD and his personality can be a bit blunt. But I found that the more I educated myself and asked him questions about treatments/options/medications, the better he was at responding. I fully understand that a doctor is there to give you information and advise you on a course of action. But I feel it is a patient's responsibility to educate him or herself about their conditions. Dr. Taylor believed that, too. He never once belittled or talked down to me. He was helpful, knowledgeable and gave me a good course of action. He succeeded in helping me a lot.

He took very good care of me and my headaches. I would love to see him again.

Glad to hear this loser is no longer at PN. He told me my headaches were migraines. He invented an entire narrative as to who I was and how I got sick. According to him, I was fat and lazy and my headaches would go away if I just got some exercise. At the time my BMI was 25 and I worked out 4 times a week. At his urging, I increased my work out. I kept doing more and more because the headaches just kept getting worse. When I got up to 3 hours a day of working out and he said I needed to increase that, I quit seeing him. Turns out I had hemocrania and all the exercising was aggravating it.
It wasn't just him. His staff was crappy too. They idolized the doctor and thought he could do no wrong. It was sort of like a cult.

My husband saw Dr. Taylor 3 years ago. He prescribed meds which did help manage migraines when he gets them, but he completely discounted the idea that diet could be affecting his frequency of migraines ( except for caffeine and wine). We finally got fed up with the continual 8-9 migraines per month, researched on our own, and eliminated MSG from his diet. It was like flipping a switch! He only gets 1-2 per month and they are much less severe. We could have had 3 years better quality life if Dr. Taylor would consider educating patients about this option. Very frustrating from a supposed headache specialist.

very rude and belittled me. Made a comment to the effect that because i was not college educated, it was my fault I was getting migraines. He did not like the fact that I questioned a supplement he wanted me to take. According to him, he has only a small list of meds that he will prescribe. Topamax being one. I got the feeling everyone was prediagnosed before they set foot in the door.

Wow-great comments! I really wish I would have found this site before wasting the last 2-3 years of my time with Dr. Taylor. Couldn't agree more with what everything that has been said. No personality, not helpful, talks down to you, and gets annoyed if you don't know what he's talking about. Makes it seem like it's your fault if you suffer from headaches. I usually left with more questions and felt more confused than when I went in. It's no surprise that he is no longer with Park Nicollet-I can imagine the number of complaints they had about him. I called to make a new appointment, and they wouldn't even put me with a headache specialist! Time to find a new place for my headache management.

I was treated by Dr Taylor for over a year. Each visit I kept hoping he would quit stroking his own ego and actually be helpful. I was proved wrong every time and left his office in tears due to his constant belittlement. I have never been to a more demeaning doctor in all my life. Extremely unprofessional! Go to someone else, anyone else. He is the worst of the worst (despite his credentials he spends half the session patting himself on the back with.)

Considered by many to be "the best migraine specialist in MN." However, when asked if there are any in-patient programs in the United States for migraine treatment, he said no. When, in fact, there are at least 5 programs (I later learned after leaving him for another dr). He is very dogmatic in his treatment approach, very unsympathetic if you want to try other treatments. He doesn't support disability even if you are EXTREMELY disabled by migraines. His staff absolutely refuses to fill out any paperwork, nor will they make phone calls to insurance for you. They believe they are doing you a favor by treating you, and all interactions with him and his staff operate working from this starting point (i.e. don't question their knowledge, always be grateful, don't assert your own right to know your own body over their knowledge as the physician).

I would agree with many of the other reviewers. He is extremely knowledgeable. I actually find him more caring and kind than his colleague (Dr. Senchacova). But don't disagree with him or he gets defensive and rude and walks out the door. He has very black and white ideas about will work for you. We has very limited ideas about what works and is inflexible. He treats the worst chronic migraine cases in the state, but doesn't believe in disability. He refuses to pay attention to the costs of medicine and procedures (i.e. botox) but then blames you if you won't available yourself of the services (even if you're broke). Yes, I agree, you generally leave his office feeling worse than when you came. And you cannot reach him accept through his nurse. She's friendly when she wants to help you. But challenge her and it's like getting water through a stone from that point forward. Working with them feelings like rolling a rock up a steep cliff, which is really hard to do when you have migraines
