she should choose a different career, not a doctor

Staff is unpleasant, wait is long, in ten years not once has my appointment been on time. Doctor is slow to diagnose any condition and equally slow to refer to specialist.

My experience was similar to the person who posted about their parent having stage 4 cancer. Doctor didn't push enough until diagnosis and it was too late. She received reports from specialists about my dad's condition but never read them. Office is poorly run and secretary is very rude and ignorant. I stopped going there because of her secretary.
Something needs to be done about these staff members that treat their patients like they're nothing and the medical
System needs a great improvement. Cancer is a big deal and needs to be treated that way.

Front staff is hit or miss depending on the day. Some times abrupt, other times helpful.
Dr. Gwardjan has a wonderful bed side manner. She is very gentle and calm. She takes the time to listen and never rushes through the appointment. There has only been a few times she has been late for appointment, but apologizes when she is.

If I could rate lower, I would. She does not answer the phones and when she does, the receptionist is rude and abrupt.

after several years of going to her with the same complaint I ended up self diagnosing and went to her. she agreed with the diagnoses and sent me to the right specialist finally and I started medication I should have years before. My mother rarely goes to the doctor but she was having trouble with her bowels and went several times complaining about it. after several stool sample tests that she was never called with the results of she went and REQUESTED a colonoscopy. she now has stage four cancer and the doctors have run out of options. it took three years for her to be diagnosed from when she first started having symptoms. besides those two MAJOR screw ups on her part, her staff is rude, impossible to get a hold of (you see why when you're in the waiting room, her receptionist talks more in Polish then she actually does her job) you will never be called with test results good or bad, I have missed several appointments with specialists because I was never informed when the appts were.

Rude Staff!! Does follow up with patients at all. Waited weeks and weeks for a referral. Was not informed of anything unless I call her office every time. Other times my son has been in hospital several times and not a mention as to his state of care when we have been in to see her for other medical appt's. She does come across as a caring doctor at all.

Dr G is an amazing doctor. She is very gentle, compassionate and extremely skilled as a medical professional. She has helped me and my sons through so much - issues with epilepsy, stress, grieving through divorce and mourning the loss of my father. I am so grateful that she is our family doctor. The therapist on staff, Henk, deserves a lot of praise as well - he is amazing and they have a huge amount of respect for each other, which says a lot about both of them. I can't imagine a better family doctor in the city.

She is the best doctor I have had so far. She is thorough, caring and helpful. I wish there were more doctors like her taking time to listen before coming up with possible solutions.
