I have no idea why Dr Duke refuses to give me celebrax for pain. He throws steriods out like candy which nearly killed me . The past 3 years have been terrible. His solution now, is see a rheumologist which has a wait time of 990 days. Pain so bad I cry . Yet Duke just refuses . Told me if he gave a bus load of seniors steroids they would love it! Really. That dam drug made my life and that of my family a living hell. Treated me for 3 years just to say I do not have PMR If he had sense he would have referred me 3 years ago instead of treating me with that horrible drug I have not been the same since I quit them myself !.I am refusing to anything more to do with this Doctor. Thought doctors were the people who helped relieve pain not cause more . !I am not a happy camper. He was out of his league on what's wrong with me but treated me with steroids .

Took very good care of my Wife last few years/only so much can be done for heart failure/he did very well keeping her able to be mobile/nothing but thanks/She has passed/her Mom and i miss her/DR Duke did a fantastic job/kept her going for a lot longer than expected

If you’re a woman of a certain age, who’s been suffering greatly with intense, profound, prolonged, & persistent fatigue and severe pain. (35+ yrs) to the point of lining up MAID or a DIY method ) and would prefer a “hands-off” treatment, then this Dr is the one for you! If you enjoy a horrible decades long quality of life, he’s your guy. His recommended treatment for me was to drink a cup of coffee & go for a walk. I’ve been tethered to my bed for many years. I’ve been left to suffer needlessly just because not all physicians are good at diagnosising. He told me to see a Psychiatrist without asking if I already had one (of course I do). He reminded me of the Paternalistic Drs from the old days. Back in the day, they would tell female patients to go buy a new lipstick to make themselves feel better. I remember those days & had hoped they had disappeared but not so. Unbelievable. Shameful.

When he wasn't able to figure out why I was having certain symptoms, he said he would order a test/procedure to be done and then be in touch. Six months later when I hadn't heard anything on the test date I called the office to inquire. His receptionist was very kind and very prompt in responding to my inquiry. Dr. Duke however decided to just send me back to my family dr instead of trying to schedule the test and help me. As an internist I thought his job was to help when a family dr can't. Instead if he doesn't know right off he will just brush you off and send you back to your family physician.

First time visit, and I was impressed by the Doctor's professionalism. Very empathic. His receptionist Paulette was exceptional. Her communication skills are wonderful.

Dr.Duke is wonderful. He greets you so politely and has such a gentlemanly manner about him. Very calming, a great listener, he doesn’t make you feel rushed. He is the Mr. Rogers of doctors. He is knowledgeable and thorough and an all round excellent doctor.
