Dr. Bass took me on 5 years ago when I was pregnant and new to Cowichan Valley. He's always treated myself and my family excellent, listens to everything we need to discuss and is quick to get us in. Best doctor ever!

Very knowledgable , efficient comprehensive. I trust him with my life. He will refer to specialist if need be without question. I like his no nonsense approach. He is oneof the best doctors I have known !!!

This year marks my 30th year as a patient of Dr. Bass. I was referred to him when I was first pregnant and my son will turn 30 next year. He delivered both my boys, cared for my entire family including my parents when called upon. The odd times a specialist was required... done ! I am so blessed to have such a skilled, knowledgeable, concerned and all round brilliant physician!

I have been a patient for 23 years now. Dr Bass is always on point and calls it as he see's it.
He has my full confidence. His staff have always been professional and assisting.

He is knowledgeable, caring, approachable and non judgemental. A great gp with an impressive skill set. We have been patients for a long time.

I deeply respect how good he is a Doctor, and feel lucky to have him as my G.P.

that said, he pushes back against my requests for help ... for example he's *very* reluctant to prescribe any thing. Even Antibiotics when I had *major* Irritable Bowel conditions for nearly a year. Getting a second option got me a 7-day prescription of antibiotics that seems to have solved everything. 🤷‍♀️ He's very knowledgeable, caring, etc. but won't prescribe anything unless he's 100% sure? Best Doc. ever, if you can get a second-option when you disagree with his conclusions. Hard to describe how awesome he is, when he's sometimes overly conservative? I needed antibiotics for about a year, for bowel problems. He wouldn't prescribe. A second opinion got me a 7-day Rx, and suddenly everything was better!!!

He's never going to order a prescription or surgery for you that is risky. Even if it works! But otherwise he's a genius? 🤷‍♀️
