On February 29, 2024 and attended Dr. Bush to have a basal cell carcinoma lump removed from my cheek. I was told to come back in two weeks to have the stitches removed. I was given a handwritten appointment for March 13 with with a time that appeared to me, which as I said was hand written read as being 4 PM. I arrived at the appointed place at 4 PM to find his office door locked. I waited 10 minutes having not only twice and left. When I called his office to get a recording saying they only accept calls within certain hours on certain days. I called on Thursday, 14 March to say I attended the day before the appointed time and place and found the door locked. The assistant, in the surly manner, asked me what time I arrived. I said at 4 PM right on the money. She responded in the same surly manner: "your appointment was at 11. I responded why wasn't I called at say 11:10 to ask where I was. She answered in an arrogant dismissive manner: "I don't make calls". At which point, after expressing my feelings about the "healthcare" I'm receiving I hung up.

I organically broke my finger being slammed in a metal door and was referred to Dr. Bush from the urgent care. At first he seemed very knowledgeable as the urgent care put a wrist cast on me for a finger that was snapped in half and he seemed concerned. I was on the list for emergent surgery and was told not to eat anything the next day, I starved all day and did not receive a call, finally the next day I still wasn’t eating and I had called the OR at St Catherine’s general, they told me they were trying to find me since yesterday as Dr Bush was sick and my surgery was cancelled but he spelt my name wrong so they couldn’t find me to call me so I starved for 2 days for no reason. Fast forward 2 months post op and my had function was having issues from the beginning, he told me the screws would need to come out and that we would need to release my tendon and to continue working with rehab and he would see me 5/6 months post op. Well just saw him, I have a screw that you can visably see the top and feel with your hand sticking out of my skin causing significant pain. He told me it isn’t a screw and that he “put the screws in side ways not Ontop” and just calcification, after advocating for myself saying something was wrong he looked at an X-ray from 2 months previous and said oh it is a screw, the screws did go in from the top yea that needs to be removed in the OR” then he says that OR is being booked into January (I can not wait that long, I am a nurse and this pain is 10/10) he then said we could remove the screws in the office with just freezing, I have severe anxiety and will not handle that well with absolutely no sedation. I called my family doctor to get a second opinion elsewhere… over this.

I have been calling the office for the past three weeks trying to schedule a follow-up appointment . I have likely called close to 100 times during the hours that their automated message says they answer the phone. Message indicates that they answer the phone only 11 specific hours from Mon - Thurs. Phone goes directly to an automated message that says the service does not take messages. Today I decided to visit the office in person during the hours that their automated message says they answer the phone. I arrived at the office to find the door locked. There is no sign on the door with any additional information. Yes, this is frustrating. I hope everything is okay with the doctor and the practice. Not sure how to proceed. As someone else commented, I also received my initial referral appointment via a letter in the mail, which I found to be an unusual way of doing things in this modern age. Doctor was fairly hurried the one time I had an appointment. Can't really rate fairly from one visit. Perhaps the practice has some administrative issues.

I referred by my family doctor to this doctor and I got an appointment in mail on a hand written sheet. I took this day off work and drove 20 minutes to arrive 5 minutes before my appointment to find the door closed and they don’t take phone calls before 1: pm. I drove back 20 minutes and tried to call them and no one answered. Very irrespecutful and non professional to give people appointments after several months and you don’t respect these appointments.

I was referred by the general hospital after breaking a bone in my hand, I have had no contact after 5 days and the office has not picked up the phone despite my calling repeatedly during the hours they are supposed to be open. I moved fromToronto and next time I have an accident I'm driving to a hospital in Hamilton or Toronto. This is ridiculous!

I was referred to Dr Bush for a medical issue that arised over the last year and my family Dr and internist were concerned. Dr Bush cut me off as i started to explain the issue, immediately went to surgery and removal and not covered under OHIP. I explained i am not here for surgery but for answers to why this is happening. I asked a few questions to which the answers were "i dont know". He did not do a thorough exam, he did not ask any questions about my medical histroy, he did not ask about any of my immediate family history. DISSAPOINTING DOCTOR WHO SHOWED NO CARE, CONCERN
