The worst doctor on the planet. How is he still practising? I went to the walk-in on queensway, mississauga for heart pain and he didn't even want to hear what the symptoms are or how i was feeling. He said "take an advil and you will be fine, that will clear it up". I was completely bewildered by this, i am not the one to go to the doctor for minor issues or for pain. But i felt i really needed to go this day and I regretted my decision to go because of him. He needs to be looked at, because i am definitely sure he has been misdiagnosing patients and causing suffering for many.

Would give 0 stars if I could. If you go to a walk in clinic in Mississauga, ask for the doctor’s name first. If it’s this doctor, immediately walk out of there and demand a different
doctor. He is rude, dismissive, does not try and make suggestions, and a total waste of time. Has no empathy and seems borderline senile. You would literally be better off seeing anybody else.

Rude, dismissive, probably responsible for countless misdiagnoses and incidents of human suffering. I had the misfortune of briefly being yelled at and belittled by the man for requesting bloodwork (it’s been three years, and I’ve likely been exposed to Covid) in advance of my upcoming physical. I was told “That’s not how things are done! No one does that!” This, amid a tirade of pontificating and geriatric ranting before he promptly hung up the phone when I asked him for his name (I had to call back to get it from reception—who are quite pleasant, mind you). I don’t know if he ever had any bedside manner, but it’s likely as deteriorated as the rest of his mind.

I feel sorry for all the patients who have him. As a Dr. I was hospitalized for a bleeding ulcer in 1984....is he still there? Must be old and grumpy, more than ever ....very very rude...but I must say: he knows his Job..

Dr Shainhouse is a genius - Period. What no other doctor could find in 3 months, he was able to diagnose properly in 2 visits. While others kept looking for cancers and HIVs and Autoimmunes in my body he ridiculed all of them ordered some blood test which took 3 weeks to come back and bang - positive test results. Don't underestimate his 40 years of experience.
And yes he doesn't like to listen much especially same thing twice :).

Saw this doctor with my son today at Woburn Medical. Had read the reviews but was referred so wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. Well, I can tell you from experience, he is every bit as arrogant , unpleasant and presumptuous as the reviews state. He took a 2 second look at my son's chart and basically asked us why we were there and made us feel like we were wasting his time. Before he even examined my son, he was dismissing all the symptoms and side effects of his condition and made him feel like he was making a big deal out of nothing when all the research we did on his condition urged close monitoring and follow up. His attitude was so bad, I had to remind this jerk that we were there because we were referred. Needless to say we are getting a second opinion.
I'm so fed up and appalled with these arrogant doctors who keep you waiting and end up wasting your time. I will never again ignore poor reviews and if you've been referred to this man, run for the hills. This many people can't all be wrong so save yourself the time and aggravation and ask for another referral.

I can't believe after reading these reviews this Dr. is still practicing! My experience last week was so similar to many of the people doing his reviews. He was arrogant, rude, short, and uninformed. My Family Doctor had sent him a letter of referral with the information related to my testing for Lyme disease. He had no information at his fingertips and blamed my Doctor for that. I'm pretty sure he hadn't look at my chart prior to me entering the office. After our short encounter (I'm pretty sure under 15 minutes) he said he thinks I have a sleep disorder and should tested accordingly and that he thinks I suffer from depression. My behavior would have given him no reason to pull that out of a hat. I drove 2.5 hours to see him, thinking I was go to a specialist's office, instead I found myself in a walk in clinic. I was disgusted!!! and I will be very interested to see his follow up letter to my Dr. if she ever gets one! I wish I had read these reviews prior to my visit, at least I would have been prepared for his attitude.

Although doctor was very rude and lacking in empathy during my first two visits, he has turned out to be excellent over the last 7 years I've been in his care. I would recommend him 100% . As for Brenda his secretary, she's the best. Wish her health would improve so she can keep doing what she does best.
