This doctor mocked me for bringing notes to the appointment that I had made to log my symptoms. He was dismissive of my concerns with his diagnosis. What truly disturbed me was his total lack of interest in attempting to understand the multifaceted nature of my medical situation. He suggested that I avoid taking anti-depressant medications, because they can cause anxiety and headaches, without inquiring as to why I was taking them in the first place. That is a potentially devastating misstep for a physician to make. Subsequently, he proscribed a medication for me that I later found to cause me greater depression, a side effect that is noted on the Mayo Clinic website. I wish I had done my homework before paying so much money for a medication I can no longer take.
