Just getting caught up now. I am so sad to hear Dr Chalmers passed away. Like many others on this thread, he delivered me too. Always proud when he said “I was the first person you ever met” He saw me through my cancer diagnosis & always shared so much great info regarding mental health. He was a wonderful man inside & out

The last posting on June 16 is more about the person writing it than Dr. Chalmers himself, and this is not appropriate. Dr. George Chalmers = a much appreciated and very gifted MD.

We are truly sadden by the passing of our beloved doctor. Dr Chalmers was more than a doctor he was our family. He was my G.P for over 40yrs. We have very special memories that will live with us forever. You took very good care of us and we are forever thankful. Thank you for being such a wonderful and caring friend, family member and doctor. I never left you office without one of your BIG HUGS, I am going to miss those so much. We are so grateful for the time we had with you. There will never be another one like you!! Rest in Peace Dr Chalmers.

Today I found out my GP that I had since I was 5 has passed away. I know he was "just" a health care professional but he went above and beyond his job. He hung the pictures that 5 year old me drew on his wall. He gifted me a wedding present when I got Married and he always offered me advice on life. Not everyone can be a doctor but not every doctor was like Dr. Chalmers RIP..💔

I'm truly devastated to hear of Dr. Chalmers passing. Like many others he delivered me and my brother and has been my doctor for 32 years. He truly went beyond the call of a doctor and took the time to address all concerns, ensure everyone in the family was doing well and just provide the best care available. Even up to my last appointment earlier this year I still got a lollipop because I was "one of his babies". My thoughts are with his entire family and his friends during this terrible time. Dr. Chalmers , no one will ever replace the amazing person, friend and doctor you were. Thank you for looking after us all.

There are so many memories of what a wonderful Doctor my family had in Dr. Chalmers.
For me it started back in elementary school and fast forward to the present and now a grandparent , that’s a lot of years. Both our children were his patients as were other family members. We will all be left with a heavy heart. Dr. Chalmers passing will leave an empty space in our lives, the emotional pain that of a family member’s passing. We are grateful to have had such a friend, a confidant, and an inspirationalist to have taken such good care of us all. Rest in peace dear friend, we love you and will miss you always.

I am absolutely heart broken to hear of the passing of Dr Chalmers. He delivered me. He had been my doctor for almost 40 years. When I was young and I had high fevers he would do house visits. When my mom, who was a struggling single mother at the time, broke out into hives because our rent had been increased and we had to move again, he offered his home while he and his family went on a family vacation. He wasn't just a doctor, he was like family. He always made me feel important and cared for when I needed to go see him. My last visit with him he got me into The BC woman's clinic asap to ensure that I had the best looking after me. I will miss him greatly. Rest in Peace Dr Chalmers. You led a great life and you made a difference.

he was my doctor for over 35 years. in this time he became to be a friend and always had so many words of wisdom. he seemed to always sincerely care not only about me but my entire family as well. when my son was young he always made the time to do the house call with lollipop in hand. when we were losing dad he found the time to stop at the hospital to see how we were doing. he always went above and beyond . I am going to miss you dr C. rest in peace xo

Like so many of us who had the wonderful opportunity to have Dr. Chalmers taking care of the health of of our whole family. We had him as a family doctor since 2002. He took care of my husband cancer diagnosis 10 years ago, and saved him from septicemia that we was able to diagnosed after being three times in the emergency room at the Lions Gate Hospital. We will really missed him, the listening and the educational conversations and sharing of his travels.
Thank you and you will be really missed.

Dr.Chalmers was like a family member. He was first my mom's doctor and delivered me 41 years ago. I always felt at home in his office. He was there for me physically, mentally and even spiritually. You could always count on him. Hmmmm.....I wonder how many hours I spent waiting in his waiting room-lol. He could talk for hours about health, family and life stories. I will miss his voice and surprising humour. I pray his 3 kids will lean on one another during this sad time. Only time will heal. Trena this must be so hard for you. I have such great memories of Dr. Chalmers and Norma from the office on 16th. I remember drawing pictures and putting them up all over his wall. The elevator ride to the office (scary elevator). The little window to "check in". And of course a lollipop to ease the visit. No one will ever replace you Dr. Chalmers. I love you and hope you are at peace xoxo Kim
