Biography
Dr. Blackburn, a sixth generation Texan, has been in private practice in El Paso since 1987. He is married and has two sons. He has continually committed himself and his office philosophy to individualized, personal, and respectful care. Since coming to El Paso, he has delivered thousands of babies, many high risk, each with personalized care. Preferring to know all of his patients and maintain that personal touch, Dr. Blackburn is one of the few doctors who do not employ nurse practitioners are other "extenders". This philosophy has given him great satisfaction in medicine and in turn is a unique benefit for the patient. Dr. Blackburn offers a full range of gynecological care for women of all ages.

Staff very friendly/helpful and nice, quick to be seen for appointments, sonogram was a basic one so if you are looking for a nice 3D you aren't going to get it here. Also he kept trying to push for me to be induced and got upset after I declined. During delivery was mad and seemed annoyed that I wasn't pushing, luckily the LnD nurses were amazing though I would have much preferred him not to be there. Did not warn me he was going to stitch me as I had a small tear then got mad when I jumped at the needle poking me as I did not have an epidural and could feel everything. I will not be returning to him. I fell that no one should push inducing on a mother.
