Dr Martin was our Family doctor to our entire family for 8 years. Even though we were there long enough to have developed a relationship, I always felt like he never got to know any of us or took the time to read anyones files. He was not a proactive doctor who came across as caring. He does have a nice soft manner, but he did not refer for extra tests, or seem to investigate or care about us. The nurse dominated him and was very alarmist and said things that were out of line all the time. During the last couple years we were all seen more by his students then him. He didn't even know I had had surgery at one point. Our new doctor is allot better taking the time to get to know us and has been very proactive about getting tests. My husband was found to have a pretty serious issue that his family has a history of. Dr. Martin never once suggested going to get it checked out. Our new doctor did on the first visit. Thank god she did, she averted a disaster. Never followed up with results.

My Husband and I have been seeing Dr.Martin for 13 years and have found him to be a wonderful Doctor, we moved to Beamsville 15 years ago and by coinsidence, Dr. Martin was with my Doctor in Etobicoke, Dr. leddy. We were upset when he left for 1 year and very happy when he came back. We just found out today that he is leaving Beamsville, we are both upset at losing him but hope he is going to bigger and better things. Good Luck, Dr. Martin we will miss you. i must say, in the past ive not been a fan of him at all. so i was not happy when he was the only doctor i could get my daughter in to see when she was ill. expecting the worst... but he was actually great! very kind to me and my daughter, and knowledgable. i didn't feel at all rushed, he took the time to answer a few questions that i had that were off topic as to why i was there that day. after some less than positive experiences with this office lately, i must say, dr. martin is pretty good. i feel like he's really changed his attitude from how he was 6-7 years ago when i saw him.

My husband and I moved here just over 5 years ago from New Brunswick and have been extremely fortunate to get Dr. Martin as both our family doctors. He is very professional, courteous and helpful. He is to the point and explains things to us very well. I have been impressed with the follow up from himself and his staff as well as when tests are needed he sends them in to be done promptly along with getting us the results in a timely fashion. We would recommend him to everyone.

I have been a patient of Dr Martin for 13 years, and couldn't ask for better. We went to several doctors before choosing him and never regretted it once. He listens to me when I tell him what is wrong and often suggests more then one treatment, and the difference between the two. He lets the patient be involved in their care, and doesn't just tell you what to do with no explanations. I agree with other posters that he is often running late, but i think thats because he never rushes his patients. When I was admitted to hospital for an emergency surgery, he came to see me before discharge even though I was under another doctors care. His nurses are amazing and friendly. I recently moved out of the region but am more then happy to make the 2 hour drive to keep him as my family's doctor.

my regular doctor was away, saw him for flu-like symptoms that were persisting for about a week and to review bloodwork. felt like he didn't even want to help me. suggested that maybe i was depressed or had some mental issues and sent me on my way.

he never comes in on time. and doesnt seem to want to help. almost every time i go in, he plays off my symptoms and tells me to go home and take some advil to help clear it up.... he seems to do this with my entire family, so i kinow its not in my head

I have been a patient of Dr. Martin's for 10 years now. I have had some bad doctors, but he is NOT one of them. He is patient, professional, and exremely knowledgable. I would recommend him to anyone. He has been a great asset to the citizens of Beamsville.

My family and I have been his patients for over 10 years and are very happy with him. He took my father as a patient also and he is also very happy with him. Would highly recommend Dr Martin! Glad he came back to Beamsville!
