Be prepared to wait 2 to 3 hours to be seen. Don't expect phone calls to be returned. Don't expect refills to be called in in a timely manner. Expect lab test to be lost (or never sent in?), and diagnoses missed or not considered. After spending two years feeling bad, spending most of his time in bed, and no major test done, we had to go to a different doctor to find out what was wrong. He is now fighting stage III renal failure.

Dr. Kent and his staff never return your phone calls. This has happened on more than one occasion and I have only been usiing him for about a year. Medicine does not get called in when they say it will as well. I would not recommend him to anyone!

I have been seeing Dr. Kent for about 8 years now. Yes, his office is not the greatest at getting patients in close to their scheduled appointment, but there is a reason for that. Dr. Kent treats ever patient like they are the only one. If you need the time with him, he gives it to you. He stays till way after regular hours to make sure he sees everyone. If you are a patient of his, you know this, so DON'T balk at the time at the doctor's office. The staff is a bit lax in getting their jobs done with referrals, paperwork and the like. So stay on them, nicely, but it is your health, so take charge of it. I wouldn't go to another family doctor if you paid me!

It has been a year and I still have not received the results from my ultrasound on my thyroid. After calling once a week for a few months, I gave up on it. Now, after my OBGYN sent over lab results on my thyroid panel due to low numbers, I called 2x a week for 3 weeks with no response. I went into the office and asked for my file because of Dr. Kent not responding. The woman at the front desk got him to review my lab report and he wrote a note that it was fine even though my TSH and T4 fell into the out-of-range column. I am switching doctors.

LISTENS to patient, takes extra time with patient if they need it,know some people who drive from 30-60 mi to see him, old fashioned country Doctor with todays knowledge. VERY WORTH THE EXTRA MILES, AND ANY EXTRA TIME. You know that if he's running behind it's because he's helping someone, not that his staff overbooked, and you know that next time it could be you who needs the extra time. Very personable and easy to talk to, never rushes you. Not a pill pusher either, if you need it you get it if you don't you won't. I've been a patient for 15 years, and he's one of the few Doctors I know that I can count on, even in the middle of the night. I've known him to attend the funeral when an elderly patient passes. They stopped making Doctors like him. He is worth EVERY mile and EVERY minute

Dr. Kent is a very good physician. He is very attentive to my needs and to my health concerns. He may not always be on time or keeps the appointment flowing at an approved rate/time flow, but that is because he is listening, really listening to his patient's and their voiced concerns. I have been seeing him for a number of years and I have come to expect the appointment wait time to be longer than expected and I have also come to love him as a person and as my doctor. I would place my health care in no other hands, for I feel that he is component enough to help my through my health concerns and I have had many challenges as I am an African American female with lupus and other medical problems.

failed to do a test that should've been done just because I thought I was pregnant--wanted me to schedule an appt. to see him, rather than just giving the hosp. the okay to give me a preg. test so I could get on with the appropriate test. Staff was really bad--they jerked me around to and fro the hosp. telling me they'd give me a preg. test before the appropriate test, then upon arriving at the hospital, the staff said that he didn't approve them to do a pregnancy test so I could get on with my approp. test (MRI). Never received either test, nor did they try to correct errors that were made. I quickly changed doctors. The staff is really really bad...beware!
