Visiting Measom was by far the most horrendous experience I have ever had with a physician. If you value your mental health, do not visit this guy.

Horrible so called doctor. Terrible bed side manner and he knew it but doesn't care. Wouldn't recommend my enemy to him

Dr. Measom completely changed my life for the better. After seeing another psychiatrist who had wrongly diagnosed me and had put me on a "cocktail" of RX, Dr. Measom was able to diagnose me correctly, put me on the minimum amount RX possible. He was trying to help me. Not just medicate me and send me on my way. He has helped save my life. I am so grateful to have found his practice. His dry sense of humor is also appreciated

I guess depending upon your need, spends very little time with patient, around 10 minutes, put you pay for a full hour. Poor communicator. Otherwise, a a fairly pleasant person.

He told me to take iron for a mild case of restless legs and prescribed Topamax for PTSD. The pharmacist said it was potassium, not iron that would help RLS. I picked up the iron and topamax anyway. The iron caused such constipation that I was in tears. I have a severe case of Crohn's, so anything that causes problems with my intestines is BAD. I quit taking it. The topamax caused me to be so sedated I could hardly function. I am a single mom with a 2 year old! He was furious that I quit the iron, telling me I had a "tremendous resistance to medication," even though I kept taking the topamax, hoping the side effects would wear off. After 3 months, they didn't. I don't need to be heavily sedated. I have a kid, I can't be. Oh, he also wanted me on Ropinirole for RLS (also would dope me up)-- mild RLS. He wouldn't listen to anything I said. Serious control issues. Oh, and he attacked me for being 15 minutes late, when I was right on time according to the appointment card HE gave me. Wow.

Weird guy who doesn't talk. I could not connect with him. I do love the office in a comical way. You sit in 2 sft. of space on Grandmas old dining chair while he interrogates instead of talks solutions or goals or things to work on. I was looking for cognitive feedback and got none. Gave a good chance and nothing against him personally. Just felt we didn't get anywhere.

I like his secretary (she's very nice on the phone.) And his secretary did call me after one week of my first appointment to see how I was doing (I had just started some medication). So I was pleased with that (the doctor/office/staff does seem to care). But, I was not very happy with some of the office set-up. He didn't seem to have a 'space' set aside for the patient (you know how some offices, when you go to meet with the actual doctor, make you feel like you actually have a space devoted to you (the patient)).. Also, the house that he works out of (one day a week, from what I understand. also has another office) had at least 4 doors on it (hard to know where to enter). Some of the questions he asked were too personal, in my opinion. Gave me nightmares, in fact. I didn't feel comfortable overall with the office or with some of his approach. He may be competent (and probably even caring), but I didn't feel like it was the best match for me (wasn't worth it for me to return)

I have seen him 3 visits, I agree with other comments about being disorganized, and the first impression of the building being old gave me the heebee jeebees. I found his personality different but his knowledge and treatment was good. will continue to see him .

Dr Measom prescribed a drug called Risperdal for anxiety. It gave me Tardive Dyskenesia. The difficulty dealing with Tardive Dyskenesia is devastating and there is no cure - my life know if horrendously difficult. Risperdal was unnecessary and devastating. I lost my ability to speak as it affected my speech larynx and vocal cords. Please dont let this man prescribe neuroleptics to you!
