Dr. Hamilton is an okay doctor, but useless since you can never get in to see him.
Receptionist never calls back even when test results are sent to their office. The office needs a change.
This has been happening for years. I am sure the health crisis has furthered it, however, it has always been a trouble to get seen in a timely manner.
If you think you are going to need his assistance, become ill, or need something for work, you'll have to be a psychic to see the future to get an appt in time.

Dr Hamilton is very helpful and knowledgeable I trust him with my life lol. His wife Laura is also very helpful and knowledgeable. Often able to solve problem right away.

Delivered a message from a heart specialist for "untreated pneumonia" resulting in the destruction of an artery that was needed for heart surgery. The surgeon said that after I go back (from KGH to Belleville) and deliver the message, that the "doctor" would know what I was talking about, and that whenever my husband required medical attention again, he should be seen fairly quickly. The surgeon was right, but, we chose not to stay with this practice-same reason as many of the comments-front end staff!!

Great doctor. Had him since I was a baby. Useless receptionist though. I called about an issue and the receptionist said that it is not a priority and that she would put me on a wait list. I waited 6 months until I called back about 10 times before someone answered and she said she would get back to me, I said forget it and dropped him as my doctor. Hamilton himself is great if you can get in to see him, if it’s a “priority” .

Ive been with Dr. Hamilton since I was a young child, Id have recommended him to everyone back then. He was the best in the area for a long time. You used to be able to call the office and get answers and make appointments. Unfortunately its gone way down hill since then. As soon as Laura (Dr. Hamilton's wife) took over for Gale (their receptionist) everything went south. The phone is no longer answered (they told you not to leave a message , so actually had to send FAXES to even make an appointment). This has been happening for years too, it has nothing to do with Covid, it started YEARS before that. I finally got a call back the other day after calling two months ago about a lump on my daughters breast only to be told that they wont make her an appointment until shes had the covid vaccine. I said "wait, so I can't make a doctors appointment for my kids if they don't have the vaccination?" And I was told "well no, we're not saying that, were just encouraging it. Let us know two weeks after she's had her first shot and we'll set up an appointment". So, in other words if you're not vaccinated you don't get an appointment with your doctor!

I have been going to Dr. Hamilton for 20+ years. He's been excellent in caring for my whole family. We have 4 kids(adults now) and he got us through some pretty tough times. Willing to talk person to person over the phone when necessary. Staff has been questionable at times but that seems to be addressed now. He listens and is attentive and never seems to hurry me when I go in. I have always been treated with respect by him and his nurse/wife Laura. I am grateful for all his years as being our knowledgeable, kind, caring, and compassionate family doctor.

This guy is terrible. All he cares about is having a large patient list to maximize his income. Terrible staff, useless and uncaring. If you want to live get another doctor this guy should not be practicing medicine.

Dr Hamilton and Laura are absolutely wonderful. Always going above an beyond. Our family are all patients and feel very fortunate to have him as our GP. What we enjoy most is that he’s not a pill pusher. If the diagnosis doesn’t warrant meds they are not perscribed. Excellent!!!!

Dr Hamilton s office is now like a well-oiled machine. Receptionist Laura is friendly and helpful. Helping me even when I don't have a appointment. Dr Hamilton is a great Dr, very knowledgeable and intelligent solutions to problems. I have received superior care from him and his staff.

Calls always go to voicemail and staff does not call back. I have called for urgent issues in the past and just done without since there is no contact whatsoever. The receptionist never returns calls after multiple contacts. This has been going on for years. Dr. Hamilton is great, but essentially useless since you can never see him.
