The absolute worst bedside manner. No compassion, did not take time to listen, wait time was 1.5 hours without apology. I switched to a different doctor in the middle of a miscarriage. I needed a d&c but did not trust her to do it. Her office staff was incredibly insensitive. I have never step foot in that office again. She seems to be inconsistent. If its a bad day, watch out!

She treated me for a yeast infection without testing and I really had a UTI. As a result, baby was born almost three months early. Baby almost died. When I saw her again after, she didn't even remember me.

Dr. Kohatsu diagnosed me with low amniotic fluid and told me I would need to be induced. A very standard diagnosis for an impatient doctor. I got a second and third opinion both of which told me my amniotic fluid was fine. I went home, I did not want to another pitosin, epidural c-section story. This infuriated Dr. Kohatsu, she demanded I came in for the health of the baby. She broke my water, induced me and patronized me the entire time. The unnecessary medical intervention is ridiculous. It is merely a convenience and monetary benefit for the doctor. Dr. Kohatsu proceeded to tell my husband that due to my prior "antics" she was missing a bbq. The doctor works for YOU. Beware of doctors that treats you like an idiot and patronizes you into thinking there is something wrong with you and pushes unnecessary medical intervention. Stand up for yourself, don't let a doctor make you feel stupid. We have been having babies for many many years.

I have been very ill for many years with OB/GYN problems and Dr.K has been a breath of fresh air! She has even gone out of her way to visit me in the hospital when I am not under her care. They just do not make doctors like this is medical school. Dr. K is a rare breed and I am thankful to call her my doctor.

Dr. Kohatsu herself is quite good; knowledgeable, friendly, not rushed, and careful to ask and answer questions. However, it is my opinion that the staff is not as good as other doctor's staff I have interacted with. Wait times have been in excess of one hour on more than one occasion. There have been delays in getting specialist appointments due to errors in processing insurance information (we were told). Calling to speak about the situation received no return call and action did not happen until a visit to the office was made on more than one occasion.

I have seen Dr. Kohatsu for over 10 years and she was by my side each time I delivered my 2 sons, one of whom was born at 4 a.m. on a Saturday morning. She is attentive, knowledgeable and I would highly recommend her.

I love dr.kohatsu and staff i'v been going to her since 2000 she has done all my 4 c-sections. She is awasom & im glad to say shes my docter. YES I WOULD GO TO HER AGAIN :)

Dr Kohatsu is wonderful. Her office staff is horrible. I tried to make an appointment for my annual exam a couple of months in advance. The receptionist laughed at me and told me they don’t schedule appointments that far in advance. When I called back a month before I was due to have the exam, they said they did not have any appointments available. I asked for a refill of my medication to hold me over until my appointment and they made it extremely difficult for me. I am now looking for a new OBGYN. I cannot handle this stress next year.

She was referred to me by a friend. I found her to be gentle, thorough, knowledgeable and positive. Especially I liked her encouragement about exercising.

I have been with Dr. Kohatsu for many years now and have been very pleased with her. She is a very kind and understanding person. I was reffered to her by a friend 10 years ago as I was looking for a good female OB GYN doctor that I would feel comfortable with and I am so glad to have found her. Keep up the great work Karen!
