As a Critical Flight Paramedic, I'm used to showing up in an ER or ICU, correcting what the MD did wrong, do what should have been done, then bring them to an ICU in Toronto, so my opinion of MDs is an educated one. "Dr." Lionel Marks De Chabris is one of the worst MDs i've ever seen. From my personal experience mediocre grasp of medications (I have a degree in pharmacology so I knew when he was making stuff up). He outright lies, about his qualifications (his paper work only says MD, doubt he is a specialist in anything. Knows nothing about anxiety or pain but claims to be an expert because he read a book 18 years ago. He's from South Beach Miami, couldn't cut it in Sudbury even, so now is mistreating patients in Sturgeon Falls, there is a reason, why. Protect your self and family from this incompetent, rude, arrogant unskilled practitioner.

My wife and I were in a serious vehicle accident. Dr. De Chabris was excellent in his examination and explained what was going on and our options. He took the time and patience to examine and explain the injuries in detail. He would make a great teacher for new doctors. Thank you!

Dr Lionel has saved my life. I used to have to travel over 10 hours each way to see a pain doc, now I see Dr Lionel every other week 2 hours from home! He is the most knowledgeable pain doctor I've ever met and is so incredibly compassionate. He's in medicine to help people and will take all the time you need with him. He's always crazy busy but will always take his time and not rush you. His expertise in nerve blocks has absolutely changed my life by offering some relief to my chronic pain! Thank you Thank you Thank you!!💚

He is an amazing physician! Caring, compassionate, actually listens to what you have to say without making you feel that he's running late (even if he usually is) because he's always willing to take the time to listen. I don't know how I'd manage my pain without his help. Thank you Dr. Lionel!!!

I agree with all 6 comments. Extremely client centered, genuine and caring. Indeed we are lucky to have Dr. Marks DeChabris in the Sudbury area. His people skills are impeccable and is extremely well versed in the area of chronic pain. I am grateful to have this physician in Northern Ontario.

I received pain management from him at his clinic in the Espanola Hospital while visiting family for the summer...after seeing many pain specialists in London and Windsor for the past 5 years...not one doctor i have had could even compare to skill at his level of treatment...having come back my doctors won't attempt to put needle injection in parts of my spine without aide of hospital ultrasound.....I receive many cortisone injections every 3 month in neck and back..in addition to TPI and nerve blocks but, .his skill and knowledge and clearly years of expertises in this field is unsurpassed...he is arguably the best in his field with years of training and knowledge most in this province dont have...his treatment allowed me to postpone those cortisone injections because my pain was under control .....Espanola and Sudbury area are truly lucky to have such a great skilled doctor...I'm so impressed I wish i could move there...Absouloutely the best pain specalist in Ontario...although my new doctor rates second because he cared enough to call to ask for this doctors help to assist in my pain management a sign of a great doctor also!....keep up the great work Dr.Lionel Marks De Chabris your patients need you more than you know!

A physician that is "normal" comes across as very competent, but can relate. A true professional in every sense of the word. If you are lucky to come across him either at an ER or in a pain clinic, he wont steer you wrong. Class act. He spends time with you and may run late but it is always because he was giving his time up for the patient.

I presented with a swelling of - which I later understood - was a parotid salivary gland ( I think... we await ultrasound results photos which were taken three days later! I learned some biology about this body which has served me well over the years. I also presented a numbing/tingling in my left lower jaw which extended across my upper chest. The good doctor admitted me into hospital for observation and EKGs and blood work and bland plastic food. I felt safe, and I was grateful for the time that he spent asking of symptoms and history. He prescribed two aspirins and did not ask that I call him in the morning! Thanks, Dr.Lionel. Are you called that because people can't pronounce "Marks de Chabris"? I am grateful for the service we receive in a little town in North Ontario.
