Waited 4 yrs for elbow surgery. Just to find out that Dr. McKee has moved to the U.S.A. Thanks for leaving me hanging and being in pain all this time. Don't you think it would have been a little more professional to let your patience know of your leaving or referred them to another doctor. Really! Guess it's all about the money and not about helping people in need.

It has taken me a few years to write this review, given the impacts of poor treatment I received from Dr Mckee in my last and final visit. At the time of my last visit, I was in my mid to late 20s, referred to consult about elbow replacement surgery. I was diagnosed with JRA in my childhood and going through the process of exploring a 2nd joint replacement. This has led me to develop a considerable amount of anxiety around joint replacements, given my first joint replacement (which was successful). Upon Dr Mckee's advice, I remained on the waitlist for the replacement but deferred a few times. I was extremely anxious and unsure if I should proceed or wait on elbow replacement surgery, a fairly uncommon procedure for my age compared to other joint replacement procedure. In the last visit, Dr Mckee accused me of taking advantage of the system and making it difficult for his secretary. It was a degrading and horrible encounter, occuring infront of his resident. On top of managing pain, trying to think through and make a huge decision about joint surgery in my 20s and dealing with other things, I was being accused of taking advantage of the system, when in fact I was confused and highly anxious. A few probing questions and gentle clarification on his end about the health care system and wait times would have addressed this issue instead of raising his voice and treating me poorly. He is very arrogant. Even if you are well accomplished it never excuses treating someone poorly, especially when they are in pain.

Dr. McKee saved both of my shoulders. One of the best orthopaedic surgeons I have ever dealt with (and I have dealt with many!) I was saddened by his departure.

Doctor McKee saved my Pelvis. I am thankful for life for his incredible work. I am sad to hear about his departure from Toronto. Wish him all the best in AZ.

i am beyond angry and upset ith this surgeon. He performed rotattory cuff surgery on my left shoulder and he completly messed my shoulder up. I had to have the surgery again by another surgeon and i am in constant cronic pain. They do not know what is wrong but i am having tall the tests done in order to figure out why i am stilll in so much pain. I cannot use my left shoulder or arm at all and the first surgery was 2 years ago. The second one the surgeon had to go in and undue what Dr McKee did, fix it and perform the surgery again. He took off to Austrila right after. I also know of 7 other patients who experienced the same issue as myself and had to have a second surgery.

What a poser of a dr. arrogant, condescending. May have been good at his craft years ago but washed up and full of it now. Maybe he should have stayed in Canada

Dr. McKee performed a trans humeral debridement in 2010 and changed my life. I spent years in terrible pain and was terrified about my surgery. My recovery was tough, but I gained back twice as much range of motion than I had in years. Was very sad to hear of his departure as I have another surgery lined up on the opposite elbow later this year, with Dr. Hall - hoping for similar results!

I have just learned of Dr. McKee's departure!! Needless to say this saddens me. He was the absolute best doctor and surgeon EVER!!! He replaced my elbow 14 years ago this fall and I always felt so comfortable with him as my doctor. His bedside manner was second to none. What a privilege to have had this Doctor. Good Luck Dr. McKee on your new endeavour.
