This was the worst doctor experience I have ever had. He is unbelievably condescending and rude. He does NOT listen to your concerns & told me that I was imagining the issues I reported. Instead of providing care, he instead told me that my (clearly visible) symptoms were hallucinations-a conclusion he made within the first few minutes of seeing me. And as if that wasn't bad enough, he went on to say, without doing any type of assessment, that I was presenting with early signs of schizophrenia-a diagnosis he is not even qualified to make! I was a senior in college at the time, just weeks away from graduating. I went in with allergy-like symptoms & this joke of a doctor had me leaving completely terrified, questioning if my post-grad future, which I had been working towards my whole life, was gone. Instead of treating me, he traumatized me. I didn't visit another doc for years after. It's now 5 yrs later (not schizophrenic!) but, to this day, am still haunted by him & that day.

I went to the ER at HUMC at 3 in the morning with severe pains in my right side. I was seen by the triage nurse immediately and then admitted. Within a few minutes I was seen by Dr. Deutsch, who was professional and courteous. He listened to my complaints, asked some questions and ordered blood work and a sonogram to be done. The nurse, Lisa, also very professional and courteous, was quick and efficient in taking my blood and getting it to the lab. After waiting approximately 5 minutes, Patrick came to take me to the radiology department, where Pashma did the sonogram. I then returned to the ER where I waited a short time to be told by Dr. Deutsch that I had gallstones and would need to have my gallbladder removed. Everyone at HUMC was great... and it was Christmas and they were in good spirits considering they had to be at work while everyone else was having a good time!
