Dr Kursell treats everyone like family. Yes he is a bit forward but he tells you the truth.

My wife and I nearly died because kursell couldn't be bothered to follow up on our healh concerns and wouldn't even send us to a specialist perhaps he had a cramp in his hand and couldn't type the requisition. We both ended up in the ER when we were in critical condition. He showed no remorse for his lack of care or follow up.

All I can say is that I am greatly relieved that this POS ignoramus of a doctor has finally retired.
Although I never had him as my family doctor, I was subject to one of his many moody temper tantrums.
His "bedside manner" was non existent and it got worse and worse as he became older.
He clearly was in the wrong profession from the get go and he should have packed it in many years ago.

He doesn’t like to be corrected , big ego. Sometimes he is helpful and other times he makes you feel like you are bothering him. His tantrums are funny

He isn't my family doctor but I saw him on a Saturday as he was the doctor for the walking clinic. I had a foreign body in my eye which he was able to remove for which I was grateful. I then asked him if he could do a quick inspection of my head to check for any moles and he got very angry telling me that he has 30 people in the waiting room and this clinic is for emergencies only. It would have taken him no more than a minute to check my head as I had asked him to do. Instead he threw a temper tantrum like a spoiled child! Not surprising given his very low ratings on Ratemds.com
Also, he will only address one issue at a time and insists that you make a followup appointment to deal with any other issue. If you need a perscription refilled while your doctor is away, he will only ok it for half the amount which is utterly ridiculous! I hear that he is now retired so I couldn't be happier as I would never want this POS to be my family doctor. He never should have become a GP as his bedside manner is atrocious and he is extremely moody with his patients. I wish his former patients good luck in finding a new doctor but I will not extend best wishes to him in his retirement!!

Dr. Paul Kursell and staff: I just want to comment how much you cared and helped me out. In the past, I have suffered with depression and a little bit of a nervous problem. On top of all of this, I developed heartburn which was getting quite uncomfortable. EVERY medication , instructions, and visits , you were very, very knowledgeable and hit the problem right on the head, each and every time.
I feel bad you are retiring Dec. 30th, but on the other hand, you have worked very hard for all of these years and you deserve nothing but the best. I am feeling much better all around. I want to wish you, Martha, and staff all the best, a very Merry Christmas and many more happy years to come. Thank you again
for everything and God Bless you all.

Honestly depends on the day but my most recent in person visits were awful. I can honestly say I’ve walked out of there in tears because he yelled at me.
Very unprofessional, and never seems to know anything.

This guy is a bad doctor. Obnoxious and dismissive. No empathy with people at all.

Most of my family used his father as a doctor. He wasn't the most social person either but he knew his stuff and helped people when he could. He'd also take the time to share medical knowledge if he felt you were scientifically minded. So, after his father died, his son more or less inherited us as patients.

Every single one of us wound up switching to other doctors because we thought he was a rude, arrogant ass. I'd call his competence into question too. As others here say, he'd often dismiss real problems and send people home without any help. These people sometimes wound up spending six hours in the emergency room when their very real problems got worse. Be smart and stay far away from this guy. I had no issues with his staff, but that's not very important, is it?

He refused to reverse the action of suspending a driver’s licence without medical validation and without informing his patient. Then his staff said he reversed it when he didn’t. Patient was driving over a year not knowing it was with a suspended licence. If there had been an accident, we could have lost everything we own because of no insurance.
