Dr. Berger performed cataract surgery on both eyes early April 2023. I was interested in premium IOLs and after consultation at Bay Area Eye Institute, I selected light adjustable lenses. Dr. Berger and his staff have been outstanding with my scheduling and with arranging the retina specialists in preparation and follow-up. I am very pleased with the results. Night driving is no longer a problem. I am really surprised that my 72-year-old eyes can now see so clearly.

Dr. Berger and his staff provided excellent care! Lisa and Sam explained every step of my cataract pre-op and post-op care in the office. Dr Berger explained every detail of my LAL cataract procedure. He is a consummate professional, extremely skilled in cornea care and cataracts. He gave the possibilities of outcomes, negative and positive, and I had incredible results. He and his staff took their time with me and answered every one of my frequent questions.

Dr. Berger did two cataract surgeries and two DMEK corneal surgeries for me last year. I was suffering with extremely poor eyesight because of Fuchs Dystrophy. After these surgeries I have near 20/20 vision. I' m also impressed with the kind and professional care that I received from his staff and office crew.

I am a physician (M.D.) and my both my father, and father-in-law were ophthalmologists. As such, I think that I have a good basis to judge Dr. Berger. The bottom line is that he knows what he is doing and he is an excellent surgeon. I am thrilled with the results of my cataract surgery (20/15 in both eyes). Literally the best eye doctors office I have ever been to. Growing up my vision use to be 20/20 and as I grew older I got diagnosed with keratoconus. After seeing an eye doctor and not being satisfied with my care I went on google and found this office. I have been seeing them since October 2019 and immediately Dr.Berger and his staff made me feel welcomed. Liza has been my most visited technician and made me feel comfortable doing my refractions test and Dr.Berger takes his time looking through my chart and helping me with my eye disease. I was so scared of surgery and they helped me to remain calm and even played music I liked and had great conversations during the 2 hour procedure. We have now completed one successful cross-linking procedure in my right eye and will be scheduling my left eye soon.
During this covid-19 pandemic his staff has reached out to me to make sure I was doing ok post-op and made sure to set up telle-health video appointments. They are always clean, friendly and efficient. My wait times are never long. And I am just overly satisfied with my care.

I am a post RK (Radial Keratotomy) patient. I have cataracts and my local doctor was not able to perform cataract surgery that would help improve my vision what so ever. I did research and found Dr. Berger. He performed my cataract surgery on my left eye and used a toric lense. I am extremely happy with the results! So far I have 20/20 vision and decreased Astigmatism! I highly recommend him for complicated cases such as mine. He literally was an answer to my prayer! Thank you Dr. Berger!
