Dr Kwan is a wonderful doctor. But bring back his old receptionist,

Nothing worth a single star rating. If there was negative stars, I would give out minus-5 stars to this so-called doctor. Complete waste of patients time. This guy simply lives in his little own world without knowing the very basics of communicating with people. Inability to understand the concept of time management, incapable to listen to patients' question/ feedback, as well as giving out attitude to the entire world with non-medical related topics. This is a complete non-sense to visit his medical office. In terms of bedside manner, he is not even close to become a Ontario qualified medical service provider. Individual characterized by a lack of sophistication.

Doctor Kwan is my doctor for 13 years. Like this doctor very much. He is always very caring and helpful. Great family doctor.

It has been 23 years since my last appt with Dr. Kwan and felt certain he
was about to kick me to the curb. Í saw him for 5+ years and still think of him today. Some of what you see is pure theater and the rest a very smart doctor. Dr. Kwan can be sneaky bút for all the right reasons. I was a human trainwreck and somehow he coaxed me into saving myself.

Was a patient of his many years ago. Wait times just to see him were brutal. He was condescending and gave cringey and awkward talks. Mentally scarring. Was also a selfish doctor. When I wanted to see a specialist he refused to give me a referral as he stated that they would not help me. He thought he was the only one who knew everything and could do everything to solve my problems. Pass.

Dr Kwan is a failure as a medical professional. My dad was a patient with him years ago, and he switched doctors a while ago. Dr Kwan informed my dad that having a blood sugar level of > 11 is acceptable as long as it does not affect other organs. After about 3 years we knew something was wrong and decided to switch doctors. In addition, he is very slow and takes up a lot of time with patients. Please avoid this doctor at all costs.

Make sure you allocate a minimum of 2-3 hours wait. I've seen him several times but It's always incredible how long we wait. Even when you're the first 3 patients of the day, you got to wait 90 mins before he arrives in office, late. He's always very nice when you finally see him but that's just being disrespectful of everyone. He should manage his days better. 3 hours is just making fun of his patients.

The only problem is the waiting time. BUT, there’s a very good reason and that is he takes his time for every patient and does not make you feel he’s rushing you. Recommended if you want someone that cares rather than a doctor meeting their daily quota.

I hurt my shoulder and Dr. Kwan gave me great advice on a few ways to treat it without meds. He explained the issue and sent me to a physiotherapist in Markham at a clinic call form & function, they really impressed me. But what impressed me the most is that he sent me to someone who can really fix the problem instead of giving me a shmorgazboard of meds. Thanks Dr Kwan!
