Dr Devinsky shouldn't be allowed to practice medicine. He doesn't pay enough attention to his patients to actually administer thoughtful care. On more than one occasion it is only because of diligent work on the part of my child's mother that we have avoided more heavy medications that were obviously unnecessary given how well he does without them. He is not reviewing materials, he doesn't like to be challenged, he employs intimidation and a nasty demeanor to get through appointments. It is a REAL shame he is head of the program at NYU as they are one of the only hospitals in the city engaged in this much research and trials. He doesn't have the bedside manner to warrant that much responsibility. No humility. Incapable of imagining how a parent feels. Callous decision making without remembering what he's said from appointment to appointment. Most concerned with prestige and accolades. A fraud and a horrible human being. FIND ANYONE ELSE.

Dr. Devinsky is the most amazing epiltologist I've ever met. Is helpful not hurtful. I've been seeing him for longer than a decade. My seizures got more and more under control and now a cure was discovered.

Orrin Devinsky is dangerous and incompetent. He also violated State and Federal law and was under criminal investigation by the Insurance Commissioner for engaging in financial fraud. Monies were pulled back by the insurance company for double and triple billing, and billing for services never rendered. He also engaged in a malicious retaliation campaign for appropriately contacting the authorities due to the significant unlawful activity in his office which included Siddhartha Nadkarni and Daniel Friedman.

He helped me more and more through the years. Is very professional and highly educated. A kind and accurate person to speak to. He is looking to cure whoever it maybe next and has much effort into doing it. Great research and there's always more to learn

For anyone who is pro-vaccine but still wants to be fully informed to make an informed decision through informed consent, be aware of how your doctor approaches you! I had a remote video-based appointment with him—who has a Doctor in Medicine (M.D.) degree—to ask questions and discuss concerns regarding the SARS-CoV-2 vaccine. With all my questions and concerns ready to ask, during the whole duration of my appointment, he was doing either two or three different things simultaneously. Most of my questions and concerns that were expressed led to a response that required me to seek the CDC for information, although the purpose of the appointment was to seek professional information from a doctor who has more information and can make it easier for me to understand. With my mother around as my liaison as part of my health plan, when she echoed what I said while sharing her experiences as a current radiologist in one of New York City’s worst-impacted hospitals during the pandemic, that was when his unprofessionalism was exhibited further, in which politics were mentioned by stating he was fed up with the Donald Trump versus Hillary Clinton/Joe Biden debate. From there, he thought of me trying to be fully informed consumer to make an informed decision through informed consent as a threat to his grandmother, thus leaving me to feel victimized for something that everyone has a right to do before accepting something. By politicizing my appointment and trying to interrupt me here-and-there while communicating with me with an attitude, my experience should serve as a warning to anyone who is considering getting the vaccine while getting all the information they need. Everyone deserves to be fully aware and informed of what they are getting before agreeing to anything, especially when it’s something completely new. If you want the vaccine, that is okay and there is nothing wrong with taking the vaccine. But be fully informed so you can make an informed decision through informed consent! Being pressured by society is not the way to go, and there is already too much unnecessary division in the United States of America for something as simple as being ethical and humane about people's questions and concerns. As long as it's not based on conspiracy theories and false news, no should have to seek further advice from someone with a Doctor in Medicine degree who treats you in an unprofessional matter.

This man was taking care of my child for over a decade. In the beginning he seemed great, then cared less and less. My child is so medicated bc of him it will be years before she can be weaned. It seemed as though he washed his hands if her bc he couldn’t help her epilepsy. He basically stole my child’s life who now is almost an adult and can barely function bc of his lack of care, and just overall self absorption. If it were his child dying a little each day maybe he would care, but not if it’s yours
