(NOTE TO WEBMASTER: Dr. Koutros is in Brooklyn, NOT Staten Island.) Has been our family internist since 1986 & we literally trust him with our lives. Truly cares about his patients & may be one of the few physicians in NYC who still makes house calls on occasion. Brilliant, dedicated man with wide knowledge of various conditions, but willing to recommend specialist when he knows situation calls for one. Unlike some physicians, he does NOT become hostile when patients wish to seek second opinion. Positive attitude, great sense of humor, kind heart, reassuring manner. Only criticism is that office staff has high turnover of young immature women who are polite & pleasant but occasionally get messages wrong, forget to fax records, and in one case gave incorrect test results by phone. We told him about this & he reprimanded erring staff, but we wish he hired older & more experienced office staff. Otherwise, an exceptionally wonderful physician.
