I have been with this doctor for many years and I believe he's the best. He is calm and unhurried; he takes all the time I need to answer my questions and to put me at ease. Unlike another patient who posted a review here, I have found him to be very helpful in non-obstetric (gyn/pre-menopause) issues.

Dr G is incredibly knowledgeable and ethical. I trust him very much. I have had surgery with him as well as ongoing care. He explains things in an unemotional and concise manner and is aware of all treatment options available. Office staff is much more friendly and organized than most. Feels like a "boutique" practice. Would definitely recommend! He is also punctual which I appreciate.

I have been a long time patient of "Dr. G," and am sad to report that my recent care has been very poor. Although I liked him for the delivery of two of my three children, when I went in last month with pre-menopause type symptoms, he opted to give me an $8000 surgery rather than address the obvious hormonal issues I've been experiencing. Just this week I called with severe bleeding a few weeks after surgery, and neither he nor is staff returned my call. I call with severe bleeding and no call back? But he's right on time for the $8000 surgery. I will now need to contact a different physician to address my simple problem, as Dr. Grootwassink is only interested in surgical procedures, rather than treating my condition. I'm out a lot time and money, not to mention blood loss...and I'm very unhappy. Unless you are seeing him for obstetrics, I would skip seeing this doctor, as he couldn't care less about older patients.

Dr. Grootwassink is a caring and knowledgeable doctor. He delivered my second baby and he did a wonderful job. He really cares about his patients and follows up with them. I would recommend him to all of my friends.

Dr. Grootwassink is such a wonderful provider! I've been seeing him for 2 years now and his bedside manner is incredible. He takes the time and answers all of my questions and makes sure that I understand the answers that he's giving me. I have even recommended Dr. Grootwassink to a friend of mine and she agrees with me as well - he's a very good find and I'm so glad that I found him.

I cannot find enough words to express my satisfaction with Dr G and the staff at OBGYN west. After 2 horrible experiences elsewhere, a friend recommended that I see Dr G. While the wait time was a little bit longer than any other clinic I have been to, the experience was well worth the wait! He is a KIND, COMPASSIONATE and knowledgeable Doctor who truely cares for his patients. Wonderful bedside manner and very accomodating staff. I will never see any other obgyn again!

I've been seeing Dr. G for 15 years; the first 10 years he was just my gynecologist. He's also delivered both of my babies. I have girlfriends who sought out “alternative” medical care and when I ask why the response is always that they don’t completely like or trust their doctor and I just think “thank god I found Dr. G.” He’s so unique in today’s health case industry. With all the patients he sees everyday, he still remembers everything about you and spends all the time you need to answer questions. He’s open to whatever your birth plan is, and does everything he can to make sure he delivers your baby. When does he sleep? I’ve heard people say that he “doesn’t support natural child birth” or whatever, but the truth is, he’s just a common-sense guy who thinks why would you prefer to go through pain if you don’t have to. But that doesn’t mean he’s not supportive of natural birth or whatever you want to do. He’s the best. Really.

I absolutely love Dr. Grootwassink! He was able to diagnose a condition I had that no one else seemed to take seriously. That was years ago and I've been sticking with him ever since. He delivered my first baby and I'm looking forward to him being there for my next delivery. I highly recommend Dr. Grootwassink to any woman.
