She was my doctor as a teenager. I knew something was wrong with me and wanted her to run some tests. Beyond an initial, general blood count, she refused to do any more tests. She yelled at me, called me a drama queen, and told me it was all in my head and that I needed a psychiatrist. 11 years later, a psychiatrist told me I needed to get a test run for the very thing I had been trying to get tested for with Dr. Karlak (Graves' Disease). I found out I did in fact have Graves'. By the time they diagnosed it, it was far too late to save my thyroid. I lost 11 years to psychiatrists I didn't need to see and have to take medication every day for the rest of my life because Dr. Karlak didn't want to run one extra blood test. Find somebody else.

Find a different physician if you would like to be treated with respect.

Dr Karlak's office staff are consistently rude and unprofessional. They act as if any patient request or need was an extreme inconvenience.

Dr Karlak herself was condescending and rude during my exam. On several occasions she mocked me and made fun of items on my patient history intake form.

Was unable to speak on initial appt until she was done asking q's; was not interested in listening to my history as new patient & had no concern for fact I'd had previous Dr for 14 yrs & knew myself better than she possible could; prescribed incorrect antibiotic repeatedly; only wanted to "push" typical methods of treatment for recent BP issues; absolutely would not recommend this doctor; her nurse/staff are EXTREMELY rude; ended up in hospital because of their lack of concern

Dr. Karlak has a great bedside manner, listened closely and spent a good deal of time, did extra research to diagnose my problem and was spot on. I cannot speak highly enough about her care

Doctor would not listen to me. She was in too much of a hurry to just sit down and discuss anything. She made rude and mean comments about my body. She encouraged me to find another doctor unless I performed according to her timeline.
