Biography

Shawn Jobe, MD, PhD, is the Director of the Michigan State University Center for Bleeding and Clotting Disorders (CBCD) and the Director of the Michigan State University Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) Lifespan Clinic. Dr. Jobe sees pediatric and adult patients in the CBCD and SCD lifespan clinic and pediatrics and young adult patients in the MSU Pediatric Hematology/Oncology clinic. Dr. Jobe received his medical degree and PhD in Physiology from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He completed Pediatrics residency and a Pediatric Hematology-Oncology fellowship at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. He is board certified in pediatric hematology and oncology. He an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Human Development and an Associate Professor of Cell and Molecular Biology at Michigan State. His clinical interests include bleeding and clotting disorders, sickle cell disease, and pediatric hematology and oncology. He has a particular interest in platelet disorders and bleeding disorders of unknown cause.
