I got admitted to the psychiatric ward by Dr. Bhalla when I was seen in the ER for a doctor's note from work. He proceeded to ask me why I was crying following him stating I would be admitted; saying "you wouldn't be crying if you got admitted with appendicitis". Unbelievably unprofessional with that unnecessary comment. Was very rude, condescending, and quite frankly made me feeling like I was a bother to him.

Nothing suspicious with that last review, I’m sure that’s legit. He speaks English so there is no language barrier.

You’re better off getting medical advice from your Labrador. This guy is not wise, he’s old and he has a god complex, terrifying when you pair that with the fact he’s a doctor. Extensively research anything he puts you on better yet just see someone else.

There is a language barrier which makes it difficult but when I was truly questioning whether or not I wanted to live, possibly on death's door due to an overdose I took, Dr. Bhalla essentially got me onto the LIFE side of the fence and possibly saved my life. When him and I finished toughing out the language barrier and he understood my situation, which took 15 minutes, he took AN ADDITIONAL 30 minutes to break down the walls of my PTSD, exorcise the demons of my addictions and fear and self-pity and addiction and self-harm through constant overdoses, to the point where the medication adjustment was SECONDARY to the actual therapy he conducted on me with his wisdom and experience and pure compassion. It was a genuine human connection, a confrontation in the best sense, a spiritual awakening and I do not take that phrase as a trivial thing. I am not religious but he set my soul on fire in a way that was like a forest fire burning away the dead and dying, their nutrients driven into the soil by the rain, so that new growth can prevail.. he did that for me over almost an hour. Dr. Dinesh Bhalla is a good psychiatrist. Be open minded, get over the language barrier, he may seem rude but he is just eager to help you and knows exactly what he's doing when he knows what he's dealing with. Thank you, Dr. Dinesh Bhalla!

He’s a horrible person. He told me there was no chance at all of long term sexual side effects. This is something he discussed every visit with him constantly reassuring me there was no chance of this being possible. He would laugh about the possibility. Turns out this was a flat out lie. I’ve been off the drug for almost a year and he’s basically chemically castrated me and he knew exactly what he was doing. He said there was a very low chance of gynecomastia, “1%” he said, but he promised to protect me from this. When I would raise concerns about this he would also laugh at the possibility of this. I do have gynecomastia and he knew I had it the whole time. I suffered a non impact broken bone in my foot while under his care. Given the side effects of the drug and the way I was reacting to it any good doctor would have done a bone density test to rule out osteoporosis. He did nothing. This man destroyed my life. He literally is the worst person I’ve ever met in my life. He misdiagnosed me and lied to me constantly about the side effects, both long term and short term. Do not trust anything he tells you. Either find another doctor or extensively research the drugs he puts you on.

The nurses were great, Dr. Bhalla himself is an actual monster who lied to me constantly while I was under his care. He has no morale compass or sense of empathy. If you are assigned this doctor you should not trust anything he tells you and seek help elsewhere.

I first encountered Dr bhalla in 2019 when I had my first pychosis from cannabis use. He showed up on call ready to help after 9pm. Even though I struggled with addiction he was always available. Now it's 2023 and I finally sobered up and am taking bhallas advice and real miracles are manifesting in my life. I would say dr bhalla is a very intelligent doctor, humble, and has a great sense of humor. If you end up with dr bhalla as your doctor you should consider yourself extremely fortunate because are Healthcare system isn't perfect.

My first time meeting Dr Bhalla was very difficult and complicated, the second time meeting him was also difficult and complicated. My third time seeing him was also difficult and complicated. I think that maybe it was confusing and complicated and difficult for both of us. I understand that he's doing his best with the information and resources he has, under the regulations of Canadian healthcare. I do believe he wants to help and that he does help, he has helped me. But if the help also hurts, it might not be his fault. I've rated him very negatively once before, this time I want to set the record straight. I know that he helped me and I appreciate the help that he gave me. We're all suffering under a system that was designed to make getting help nearly impossible without also being hurt by the help. It's a double edged sword. That isn't his fault. He has so many patients, more than I can count, and I can only imagine how difficult it must be to see as many people, to hear about all the pain that we're in, and keep doing it for a living. We all do the best we can, and I think he's doing the best he can given the circumstances (the Canadian healthcare system.) I am truly grateful for the medication he gave me, I'm finally getting some much needed rest, and hopefully someday I won't need to take the medication to rest, but today I will. I'm sorry for doubting you and judging you. Thank you Dr Bhalla, I know you've got a lot on your plate, like we all do, and I appreciate the fact that you keep trying to help even though our Canadian healthcare system is falling apart and makes help hurt. People help people. Dr Bhalla helped me. The Canadian governments interference hurt us both.

Dr. Bhalla should not be allowed to practice medicine. He immediately pushed narcotics minutes into our first appointment before asking questions. He kept falling asleep. He interrupted when I tried to answer questions. He left the room several times without explanation. He asked me if I was suicidal a dozen times, randomly. It seemed as if he had forgotten he had already asked the question. The Dr didn’t take many notes. He seemed offended by some of my answers. He was very cold and quite rude. When he asked if I’d ever been sexually assaulted and I replied, “yes.” He said, “are you past that now?” In a monotone without empathy. He was just ticking boxes. He prescribed 6 medications. 2 that aren’t prescribed for my health condition. He complained about the time it would take for him to write/submit a report to my insurance company. In his report more than half of the details were incorrect. Thankfully my own Dr. Refused the dangerous list of medications. I can’t image the damage done to those who don’t have a family Dr. and just follow the advice of this horrible man.
