My journey to find Dr. Oyakawa took while. Knowing that I needed cataract surgery, I was on a mission to find the right MD and office staff. My criteria was extensive...........the MD had to have outstanding credentials , was board certified and had done cataract surgery for over 20 years. Additionally, the office and the staff had to be NICE, respectful and on time. (With an appointment, I wanted to be evaluated on time.) One day at bowling, my friend of many years and her husband showed up without glasses. As long as we had been friends they were never without their eyewear. At that point she described her perfect vision after cataract removal. She and her husband were patients of Dr. Ray's. So, I made an appointment to"see" if Dr. Ray and his staff we right for me. At the first visit, I had extensive testing by Dr. Ray and his assistant of 21 years Nidia. Dr. Ray showed me every image and explained in detail. The rest is history.......I have a new "lens" on life.
