This doctor was completely rude and judgemental of my health concerns, his approach was completely rude and condescending. Would NEVER recommend.

My personal doctor since 1998. Effective, caring, knowledgeable. I could not have asked for more. He's now retiring and I'll miss him greatly.

I had a very bad experience with Dr Benitez today. He was very judgy and condescending. He disregarded my concerns about my 10 month old son and said I am over exaggerating his symptoms.
He also said to bring my son back while is is doing his vomiting (he has been violently vomiting from 3 days).
He also disregarded my sons diaper rash as minor when it was bleeding.
Then to top it all of he gave a wrong prescription/ wrong person’s prescription for my son.
We had to take him into emergency later this evening.
I have never written a review before but Dr Gomez brought me and husband to tears due to our sons suffering.
I will never visit him again.

I’m not sure if some of these ratings are mixing up the other Antonio Benitez doctor. Because this Dr. Benitez is one of the most compassionate people I’ve ever met. The care he delivers is with his whole heart. He is educated, gentle, patient, trusting and personable. You are a lucky individual if you end up in the care of this man. I hope he never retires. Thank you Dr. Benitez for the dedication you show your patients.

He has been my personal Doctor for more than 25 years. He is superb in every way. Kind, humble, competent and very thorough. You could not ask for more from a family Doctor. Most importantly he clearly cared for my well-being. I’m not sure about the negative comments here. Either the wrong Doctor or people with personality disorders or dementia? Let’s face it, drug addicts can get very angry when they are not prescribed what they want, they just go to a less professional doctor.

Dr Benitez-Gomez has been my doctor for 15+ years. Quite honestly I couldn't have asked for a better fit for me. He cares and if its possible cares too much. I feel like he served me with his best. Thanks for all you do and have done, R. Anderson

Worst experience I ever had with a physician. Patronizing and condescending, perhaps to make up for his lack of competence and expertise. I went to this doctor due to severe weakness and ongoing digestive problems only to be dismissed and told I was suffering from anxiety and depression. I was so sick I could barely stand up and walk at that time. After that degrading experience I finally got myself to another physician who actually - bothered - to order blood work, and I was eventually diagnosed with a chronic health problem - NOT a "mental" illness. Avoid this doctor at all costs if you value your health.

I believe, Dr. Antonio Benitez-Gomez to be a very good M.D. Dr. Benitez-Gomez has been my Family M.D., since 1983. I know he does everything he can to diagnose an illness and to determine the best methodology in treating symptoms of an illness, to obtain the best outcomes for his patients.
He is through, knowledgeable and demonstrates an excellent understanding of the latest medical methodologies. He always takes time to diagnose an illness. When required, he refers his patients to specialists and follows up promptly. He will not provide medication of any kind, unless necessary and required to bring the best results, for his patients. If an illness results in a terminal diagnosis, he is very supportive and compassionate.
Dr. Benitez was my in-laws M.D. for over 40 years, until they passed from illness due to their ages of 93 and 94. He visited them regularly, to provide for their medical needs when they moved to a local Senior Care facility and when they ended up in palliative care at Peace Arch Hospital. He provided the entire family the support needed during this difficult time. I also have a number of friends who also use him as their family doctor. All of us have a similar opinion of Dr. Benitez-Gomez.

Absolutely no bedside manner. He had no interest in my history which could have contributed to my problem. Was very upset when I questioned something. Even though I had nursed for over 40 years he treated me like a idiot! Would NEVER recommend him to anyone.
