Dr. Gaston is a medical genius, and highly known and respected in the field of rheumatology. On my first visit with Dr. Gaston she explained to me the importance of the physical, mental, and science of medicine. She went into detail expressing all of the components will be important to my overall health. She talked about exercise, water consumption, and diet and at one point I was confused about if she was a nutritionist or a physician. She offered and recommended a psychological referral if needed and also recommended me to support groups in which I respectfully declined and their was no additional pressure. I never had a doctor that focused on all of the components as a whole unit. I am no longer a patient of Dr. Gaston based on insurance constraints. However, I miss Dr. Gaston very much and I highly recommend her to anyone struggling with autoimmune disorders. I had two lupus flare ups before becoming Dr. Gaston's patient which caused me to be hospitalized for weeks at a time. Since seeing Dr. Gaston I have had 0 flare ups and I began my journey with Dr. Gaston when I was 20 and I am now 46. Dr. Gaston is also an advocate for her patients. At work I was freezing because of the temperature and she wrote my job a letter so that they can accommodate me. Let me tell you she had them insulating my cube, they ordered special gloves, and boots and allowed me to wear hats to work. I was appalled. Dr. Gaston has changed my life and overall health for the better and for that I am forever grateful. Blessings to all reading this review and may you all reach Optimum health!

Dr, Gaston is a wonderful doctor. She has helped me over the past 2 years recover from a horrible Lupus flare up. I went from swollen knees that wouldn't allow me to stand after sitting, rashes and such pain that I wasn't able to care for myself, to a whole person again. I was hospitalized with blood clots and pneumonia, plurality. I was scared and very sick. Today with her care and guidance, I am perfectly able to enjoy life, I am very active, I enjoy kayaking, power walks, about 5 miles a day, pottery and gardening. She diagnosed me when no one else could seem to figure out what was happening to me.

Specializes in the "hard to diagnose" cases. It took nearly 6 years for someone to listen to all my symptoms and tie it together into a diagnosis. She's the one who did it!

Dr. Gaston is very nice and seems to know her stuff. She has very good patient manners. Her staff on the other hand is not as stellar. Twice they have schedule me for an appointment and the Dr. has not showed up. They are not good at following up either. I've been waiting for test results for 2 weeks and have not heard from them as of yet.

Dr Gaston is kind and truly listens to her patients. Most importantly, she's brilliant. I spent five years looking for a diagnosis, went to 11 varied specialists and even had exploratory surgery- she was the only one who could accurately diagnose and treat me. Her staff, Jennifer and Demelia, are also wonderful. Can't recommend The Arthritis Center highly enough.
