I too adored Dr. Iris..... Dr. Stephen was also wonderful and attended to my husband Andy's needs... I would love to know where they are now.... they were both amazing. I have a very rare blood disorder that was diagnosed by Iris and am alive and well still. Thanks tons and all the best wherever you are..... P.S.Wish you were in Victoria

Wow! cannot believe she is back in Canada. I was a patient in Toronto, quite a few years ago. At that time Dr. Green Starr and Dr. Starr were moving to Australia. I mourned their departure from the Toronto practice. It is great to know they are back in Canada and doing well. This dynamic duo of doctors are simply amazing! Caring, empathetic, insightful, and open to including alternative methods of wellness. They treat the WHOLE person. I loved them and my children did also! If it wasn't for these doctors I know the passing of my parents would have been so much worse. They truly helped our whole family every step of the way. Just incredible doctors. Ones other professionals surely look up to. Mara. Miss you both!

Calming effect upon me. Shows sympathy even on comments onthe status of other members of my family. I admire this lady. Theresa J. Bacon

Dr Green-Starr is knowledgeable and helpful. It is hard to fine a GP in this city and I'm very pleased to have her as a physician. If needed, tests and referrals are done promptly.

I am absolutely thrilled to have finally found a doctor who lives up to the title. She is thorough, open to any legitimate type of treatment, honest, efficient, and always up-to-date with recent medical knowledge. After 25 years of quite appalling medical treatment, I feel completely confident in the hands of Dr. Green-Starr and her husband, Dr. Starr, in her absence.

Overall a good GP. Her practice is very driven by MSP: limit of one issue per visit, waiting room is littered with posters describing extra costs for letters, tests, etc not covered by MSP. But I don't think this is unusual today. There is an incredible shortage of GPs and so she has taken on a huge patient load to try to give as many people as possible access to a physician. But perhaps she could make it look like she wasn't so MSP focused. The laptop is a good tool, but it can feel like she's paying more attention to it than me. I found it funny that she is a licensed acupuncturist and recommended it for my migraines, but then chose to send me to someone else for the treatment. Still, I appreciate the openness to complimentary and alternative therapies. I don't think its fair to complain that her office runs behind schedule and then also complain that she will only address one concern per visit. How do you think doctors' offices get so behind?

I understand why Dr. Green-Starr is getting negative comments here. I have been seeing her for about 5 years, since I moved to this city. It was not easy at the time to find a doctor taking new patients (there were only two in Victoria at the time) and I basically picked her because I liked her name. She was prickly on our first meeting, didn't seem to like me at all and actually even gave me solid grief about a small comment I made as a joke. I'm pretty healthy, so I haven't seen her much over the years. She is always behind schedule, so allow for an extra hour for any appointment. Her front end staff are sometimes daft. Though she may not be the warmest person and sometimes, but not always, can seems bothered by my existence, I've gotten everything I've ever needed from her. Specialist referrals, good advice, attention to my concerns, tests, she's never been dismissive, I get in when I need to, that's the important thing. I don't need a buddy, I'm tough, I can handle the prickly.

This woman is a specialist in general family medicine--what a rarity. She is calm, thorough, accessible, up to date in research, preventative focused, listens well. With a gigantic case load, we're lucky she's continuing. She also considers the whole person. What more do you want from your health care partner? I disagree with any negative ratings!

I don't feel she is compassionate about her work. Only does the bare minimum when I visit no preventative measures are taken. She does not make me feel comfortable or give helpful explantions when questions are asked. Front desk staff are not competant often forget to book other appointments or do so incorrectly. i would not recomend this Doctors office.
