i have ever written a negative review, but I had such an awful experience at this place, I feel compelled to say something. The reception staff was rude and unhelpful. I only met the PA, who seemed OK, but I left the place with a really bad vibe. I ended up going off-Cape to MassGeneral for my surgery - and was greeted by highly professional competent, caring people. It was worth the inconvenience of the drive to Boston!

Dr. William Manning performed a (left-side) hip replacement on me in Jan of 2017. I will always be grateful and indebted to Dr. Manning for allowing me to now live a completely comfortable life with absolutely no pain from walking, sleeping or sitting. Previously, my hip had started to deteriorate for several years, resulting in extreme discomfort during walking and sleeping. Sitting was not a problem. When I first went to him to have my condition diagnosed, he and his staff analyzed my hip, my MRI and my x-rays, and then explained extent of my left hip deterioration. Two and a half months later Dr. Manning operated... and I went on to a speedy recovery. The amazing part of my story is that there was no pain whatsoever. While there certainly was pain from walking for a few weeks, there was none from the surgery. I woke up after the operation did not have to take any pain killers... no anesthetic, no aspirin, nothing! To this day I'm amazed. My hat is off to Dr. Manning, his staff and the professionals at the Mugar Center. This is a 100% true story!

I broke my clavicle couple weeks ago. I had gone to Cape Cod Hospital had x-rays, it was an obvious break with the ends of the bones overlapping by nearly 40 mm (over 1 1/2"). Three days of incredible pain later, I got an appointment at Dr. Manning's office. Dr never actually took the time to see me and I am not convinced he ever looked at my x-rays. The PA saw me, looked at the x-rays and told me it will be fine, the bones will get "sticky" and heal up fine. They gave me a prescription for pain medication and sent me along. Called back a few days later in even more pain than before and they simply prescribed more medication. Days later, I went to another Doctor (who actually saw me and took more x-rays). My clavicle was broken into 4 pieces, one of the larger pieces was poking up, not far from going through my skin. The ends of the major parts were still overlapping from one angle and from another angle they weren't even close to each other. I was promptly scheduled for surgery to occur the next day. A plate and 10 screws later, it feels great. I just went for my first follow up and all looks good. My doctor is still baffled (and that's putting it nicely) on how any medical professional could even look at the initial x-rays and think this fracture would be okay to set the way it was. Complete Fail. I am sure glad I went to see a doctor that wants to see me when I schedule an appointment to see a doctor.

Was completely misdiagnosed. They (Dr Manning and his PA) gave me shots for arthritis, and when that didn't work, told me I needed knee replacement, even though my GP had said my xrays showed little sign of major arthritis. Got a second opinion weeks before operation and am glad I did, it was BURSITIS, not arthritis and a simple shot cleared it right up and haven't had issues since. They'd have had me laid up for weeks with major surgery that was unneeded. They didn't listen to my concerns, and brushed aside any evidence that didn't support their opinion. Also office workers were rude and impolite and eager to offer their unlicensed medical opinion.

The worse office workers I have ever met in 70 years of going to a dr.'s office. There was no courtesy or respect. When the PA (you do not see the md on the first visit) told me I needs a operation and the md had time in dec. The pa walked me to the same ladies, who gave me a hard time when I first came, he left and the two women started up again. There was no respect. It was a tag team of complete disrespect.I never was in the office before but they went on and on that there was no way I could have an operation when the PA stated nor could I see the Md soon because I did not follow the rules {not sure what they were)The ladies keep saying I was there only for a second opinion and the Dr. did not do second opinions .That was not so.They also had a melt down over the ER xrays. As they would not stop I said forget the appointment and left.
