The best thing Dr. Genest did for SRF was to leave and be replaced by a competent doctor.

Went to see him so I could get a doctor's form filled out for my employer in regards to missing time for my vertigo symptoms. When he got to the part of when I wanted to return to work, I mention to him that I didn't know since I still had some vertigo symptoms. His response was "What do you want me to do, give you the rest of your life off?" What a quack!!!

i AM VERY UPSET WITH DR. GENEST HE IS THE WORST DR I HAVE MET .HE HAS CALLED MY HUSBAND A LIAR WHEN HE WAS TOLD HE HAD DISSOLVING DISKS IN HIS BACK .THEN THE OTHER TIME WAS WHEN MY YOUNGEST WAS 5 MONTHS OLD AND HAD THE CROUPE HE SAID IT WAS JUST A COLD BUT WE TOOK HIM FOR SECOND OPINION CAUSE HE HAD DIFFICULTY BREATHING AND WAS TOLD BY THE OTHER DR IT WAS CROUPE. AND NOW THANKS TO HIM I ALMOST LOST MY FINGER BECAUSE HE DID NOT TAKE THE RIGHT STEPS WHEN I FIRST SEEN HIM , I HAD TO GO THROUGH EMERGENCY CARE SURGERY A WEEK LATER DUE TO A SEVERE INFECTION IN MY TENDONS. HE REMINDS ME OF A DOCTOR OUT OF A HORROR MOVIE... WOULD NEVER RECCOMEND HIM TO ANYONE !!! IF CRTICALLY ILL AND NEED A DOCTOR WHEN HE'S AROUND COCHRANE WOULD BE SAFER..

I have to start off by saying this has got to be the worst doctor that ever lived. I presented myself in Emerg with my son that was coughing non stop. After waiting which seemed an eternity for Smooth Rock Falls, I had the "pleasure" of seeing Genest. He took a look at my son and told me it was normal to cough when you have a cold. REALLY???? I was burning when i walked out.. only to see a real doctor afterwards and was told my son had full blown bronchitis and needed puffers. Thanks for nothing Dr. Gene-sait-rien!

Dr. Genest has a very bad reputation according to many people in town. Unfortunately we are stuck with him. I wish we could trade him in for another Doctor 'cause he's a lemon...lol From my experience, having met at least 100 Doctors in my many years of being sick, he rates as one of the most ignorant one I've met. He has a very bad attitude towards his patients. He treats us as if it's all a joke hoping that his prescriptions will be sufficient. No tests, no knowledge of his patients file, no respect for his patients. etc. etc. Fortunately we have the option of another Doctor Dr. Lebel. Dr. Genest could learn so much from his example.

I thought I was having a heart problem... Dr. Genest didn't even checked my heart... didn't run any tests at all... the ignorant way he acts made me upset. He was treating like it was a joke.

That doctor was very helpful. I was not to comfortable with him but he found what was wrong with me, gave me the right medication... I never felt that good in my life! It has been years that I needed help with some issues and he was the only who found what was right for me.

I have been very badly treated by dr Genest, I was taken to hospital by ambulance because of allergies. The ambulance workers and the nurses at the hospital were exeptional, very nice, prompt, good at what they did. They put the oxygen mask on and the nurses put an iv with benadryl and I was feeling fine in no time. When the dr. came in he took the oxygen mask on and he had cologne on, which is listed as an allergy in my file(all perfumes) The second whiff I had of it I had a very bad reation , I got extremely dizzy , felt very weak , had the feeling of fainting, couldn't keep my eyes open and felt relly sick. That's when he started to scream at me and getting very inpatient; told me that allergies did't do that. My Mother tried to tell him that she had the same thing, but he ignored her, and was more impatient and talked louder. After he left both me and my mother were crying, in shock of what just happened. I never want to see this man again. Very bad experience , I feel traumatised.

Twice I've have seen Dr. Genest as my regular doctor was away. Both times I was disappointed by his dismissive attitude. In fact, the one time, I was feeling very unwell (for quite awhile) and was looking for the reason. He immediately gave me anti-depressants. When my regular doctor returned and I went to him, turned out all I had was a vitamin deficiency! Now I always ask the office which doctor is in!
