Underhanded practices, they will charge you more than you will even if you give insurance they won’t try to get the money from insurance. They will just charge you directly and make your life harder never go here if you value your money.

Dr. Takacs and her staff help me every step of the way with a workmans comp injury. She even called the insurance company on multiple occasions to speed up their approval. She's an honest and real person and I'm sure the people with bad reviews didn't she her the respect she deserves.

I received excellent care from Dr. Joan Takacs, and have seen her for injuries from two separate automotive accidents over a two year period. One in which I was hit by a car on my bicycle. I am a med student myself, and would be able to tell if she were simply an "insurance company lackey" as one of the former reviewers posted here. Don't believe it. She is a quality medical care provider. I was referred to her by my chiropractor when the insurance company no longer wanted to foot the bill and believed my injuries "should" have already been healed. So, long story short, I had the opposite experience of the reviewers who had only criticism to post.

Her report to the insurance co. basically called me a liar. She said that there were no problems with pain and spasms. she said that I was fine . She said I was making it all up.
It turns out that the injury was legit. I have since been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. A condition that exacerbated the injury problems. I live with the associated pain and spasms that the "doctors" takacs told the insurance co. I was fabricating. No compassion only greed. A terrible doctor and a terrible human being.

she is the insurance companies lackey. she works more for the insurance company and leaves injured workers to fend for themselves.
she is also personally insulting to anyone that is beneath her social status

Dr Joan is an angel from God. My husband and I were in a car accident and saw several doctors and went to PT and we were still in pain. Our primary care dr referred Dr. Joan to us she knew exactly what was wrong with us within the first 5 min. We have been going to her for 10 years now. She is so intelligent about medical issues and life in general. As she cures my pain with manipulation, steroid injections and her healing fingers, she gives helpful advice on everything from healthy living to the best places to fly your RC plane! She has never steered us wrong. My whole family sees her. She is truly an amazing doctor and I would trust her with my life.

Dr. Joan is the best. She diagnosed a serious problem in my hip joint and is the first doctor to really listen. She referred me out for needed surgery and took my issues and pain seriously. She is very knowledgable about the human body. My primary care referred me to her and I continue to see her.

Total billed for a office visit may range from $270 - $328 for a 10-15 minute visit, mostly talking. You may receive a 1-2 minute "Osteopathic Manipulation" which will run you $102. Still had to pay $100/visit AFTER insurance paid their share. I thought there was a billing error because I couldn't believe they would actually charge $102 for a 1-2 minute massage - they checked with Dr. Joan Takacs and she said "she provided the service so balance is due". Money trumps patient care here.

This doctor is not supportive of injured workers. Instead she is supportive of the insurance companies. If you are in pain and cannot work and have a permanent disability see another doctor! She has no compassion. The appointments are more like counseling sessions not real treatment. If you don't follow her counseling advice she takes it personal and will close your claim. She tries to act like a mother, not a doctor.
