Upon arrival they reception staff were quite rude when I asked if I was in the correct location.
Goodwin herself was quite unhelpful. She chose not to listen to my symptoms and I pushed for the MRI. And I'm sure she was reluctant to order it but I wasn't leaving without one.
When I went to the follow up appointment, she was super ignorant with me about my results and my questions regarding them. She then took it upon herself to compare the condition of her neck to mine, which I found EXTREMELY unprofessional as we were not there to discuss her neck in comparison to mine or to be told "it's all in my head".
I 100% do not recommend her to any patient.
Don't waste your time and research for another Neurologist who won't treat you so poorly.

I have been a patient of Dr Goodwin’s for the last 5 years. Due to not knowing what was causing my symptoms she completed some tests and tried to prescribe some medications. Dr Goodwin was thorough, kind and tried to think( out of the box) as I was told I have a rare neuro muscular disease. Various treatments did not help and she then contacted another specialist who came up with a medical plan that has truly given my life back to me
I am truly grateful for her hard work and never giving up to find a solution
It has not been an easy diagnosis , but she has been there every step of the way and to keep following up
Thank you for your patience and kindness

Dr Goodwin has helped me live my life. She believed me long before any tests proved my symptoms.
I have been her patient over 20 years and will continue until she retires.
Thank you Dr Goodwin for dedicating your life to helping people like me and my family.

Treated me very poorly. Did not want to listen and pretended that she had ever heard of any specialist that I has attended. Wouldn't help me! Even wondered why I was there.😳

Dr. Goodwin did not listen to me. She took one look at me and decided that I was 'heavy' and that's my problem. I am disabled due to an unknown illness and my usual neurologist referred me to her to have some testing done. She didn't perform what my doctor asked, I'm sure of it. She dismissed my symptoms completely, through discussion and when testing she told me to control them. If I could do that, I wouldn't need the test. I would never, ever return to see her.

I had been seeing dr Goodwin for 25 years. She was and still is the most pleasant, most knowledgeable and most thorough than any other doctor I have had ( and I have had several because of my condition- syringomyelia). My husband and I decided to move back to Quebec and she got in touch with the large hospital here and I already have an appointment with a neurologist already!! People here can't believe it as we don't have a family physician yet. I cannot say enough great this about Dr Goodwi . She is absolutely the BEST.

Horrible experience, she treated me as if I was making my symptoms up! She did not listen to my concerns at all in fact she was very argumentative of every point I made...she said my burning pain was neurological yet didn’t offer to do anything about it..is it not the neurologist you see when you have nerve pain!!!! She basically twisted my words and said I’ve had pain all my life that I just have to deal with it when that is not what I said at all I said the burning pain started two years ago! She said I had no muscle weakness yet my family physician, oetopath and physical therapist all said I have muscle weakness and muscle wasting. She didn’t check for any other neurological conditions such as vitamins defiencies after I told her I had malabsorption issues and gut problems all my life..also that celiac does not cause neurological or muscle issues..which if you do any research on the disease it must certaining does cause muscle weakness and nerve pain not to mention cognitive impairments!! What is our health care system coming to!! Nobody wants to help you or look into your symptoms for further diagnosis!! Did not recommend any further testing..how about pain management nerve blocking..IMO globing therapy???!! Nothing at all..don’t waste your time despicable treatment and respect of a human being to say the least!!!

She listened to my concerns and was very thorough in considering the possible causes (including multiple tests, blood work, EEG, etc.). I have found her to be very professional and although the appointment was short (as all doctor appts are these days), I did not feel rushed.

Dr. Susan Goodwin changed my life. After having being admitted to the hospital because of a sezuire, I was assigned to her care. I had told my family Dr. over the years that I was having a Deja vu's.... for my family Dr. to say...EVERYONE has those. Well guess what...no...those were AURA's. It took until they progressed to Grand Mals and I ended up in the hospital before anything was done. She also helped with my IBS that I had complained to my family Dr. for 20 years and she did nothing about. Dr. Goodwin who I seen once a year, could tell by my face there was something wrong. I said... oh, just my sore guts....well she had me a appointment with a specialist and put me on some pills...I have never felt better in my life. I don't see her anymore... she has moved on to another dept. But, honestly, I thank the stars for meeting her. There was a long wait in the waiting room , that I will say!
